deteriorating faciltiy
We recently had to move our mother from Memory Care of Little Rock due to the deteriorating conditions of her room and bedding. Before Covid we loved Memory Care and our mother did too. In the last six months the entire senior staff has turned over and the care is not the same. Our mother was sleeping in a urine smelling bed so much we had to get her a new mattress. We found a dirty diaper in her bed. The art and music therapist has not been replaced. Mom was eating her meals and sleeping in her room as the new CNA's need training on engaging those suffering from dementia.

Memory Care of Little Rock at Good Shepherd was an older facility, but it was very well kept. They have a movie room and their apartments have just been furnished, and it was done nicely. The residents looked happy and all greeted Rachel, my tour guide, and she responded back to them in a friendly way.

I was very impressed with Memory Care of Little Rock at Good Shepherd. It was a very homey setting. It did not look institutional. It was very open and roomy. The furnishings were very nice. They had three very nice patios. I was impressed with the facilities and what staff that I saw. They had a room for bingo, cards, and things like that. They had a chapel/movie theater, where they have worship services. They were showing a movie when I was there.

Memory Care of Little Rock at Good Shepherd is beautiful. It's like a five star hotel. They are very compassionate and professional. I have not been able to go there recently because of COVID. They have limited the visits again, but my mom's room is very nice, immaculately clean, and has a very accessible bathroom facility. It is just really nice. The lady that had been doing her hair is able to come in. They have hair care facilities and massage therapy that's free. They have an activity director that does activities with them two to three times a day too. Another thing that I found really interesting is that they have sealed fireplaces at every corner. Older people are really cold natured, so there are a lot of people (even in the summer) sitting next to those sealed fireplaces, which was kind of nice. They actually sent me pictures of my mom bowling. They also had singing, music, bingo, and art classes. It's only a couple of years old, so it's still very new.

Memory Care of Little Rock at Good Shepherd is the one that we chose. My mom has been in there for two or three weeks now, and she loves it. It's a beautiful place. They have lots of activities. She says the food is really good, and everything's just really, really nice, so we're very pleased with it. Their rooms are very, very nice. We chose to use their furniture. It might not be brand new, but it looks like it. It's very nice, and it fits in there well. I just think she's going to be happy there. She seems to like it already. My mom goes down there any time to have any kind of entertainment, like a singer or music or anything like that. They do a thing where they help all of them paint their fingernails, and they play bingo. They play a lot of things like that. The facility is very nice, it's beautiful, and it's decorated really pretty.

The staff is attentive to residents' needs. I found them all to be professional and responsive to my concerns. The rooms are nice and well designed for my mother as she is mobility impaired. The activities are an important part of the enriched environment. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility for anybody's short list of communities.

My friend's parents are in Memory Care of Little Rock at Good Shepherd. They have a whole community of independent living, assisted living, nursing home, and memory care. It's very nice, brand new, and very well orchestrated. It's easy to negotiate and navigate. They are trained to work with residents with dementia or Alzheimer's and very knowledgeable. My friend says the food is good. They have physical activity as far as exercising and have some mental game activities and stimulation.

Nice building but unfortunately poorly run. No one answered the phones so I stopped in to take a look. It took forever before anyone noticed I was outside trying to get in to have a look.
