My mom has been in Island Shores Retirement Community for two weeks now. We chose this community because of its location. The food is just amazing; there are lots of options and different foods being offered. The staff is amazing, too. They were there to help us, and they are very considerate. They have all kinds of activities, and she's doing them. They play cards, exercise, and play shuffleboard. The facility has a good layout, as well. They have an old site and a new site, and she's still in the old site. It's not bad, but it's a little bit old.

Food is consistently good., with a wide variety of choices. Staff if very friendly and easy to get along with. YMCA is just across the street. Downtown Neenah is not a long walk away. Rooms in the addition wing are especially well appointed.

My mom has found a place, and she has moved in to Island Shores. The staff is warm and helpful. They give as much help as needed and don't push extra help. The apartment is gorgeous. It is beautiful, modern, light-filled, and large. It is just beautiful and laid out well. The dining area is lovely, and they try to accommodate different health issues with the food choices. They have a sign in and sign out, but people have the freedom to come and go as they please. They have card games and art. They have music and TV. They also have cocktail parties which I don't know how well those are attended. But also, whatever you would like to have, they are willing to start for you. The beauty of the apartment stood out to me. Also it is warm enough. That is a problem for some elderly people, and Island Shores is warm and nice for my mom.
