I took a tour of Wheatland Village and it's independent living. They have assisted living down the line if you should need it. They have everything that you would possibly need. There's an ice-cream parlor there, a chapel, and a dog area. The apartment is big enough, even as a one-bedroom, and it's really nice. The halls are wide and they're not like a motel. I liked it a lot, and you don't have to have three meals a day. I don't need three meals a day; that would be a waste. They have a pool, and the exercises are really nice. The exercise room is huge, and I'm big on the fact that they have exercise classes. They have a movie theater and a bank.

We went to the cottages of Wheatland Village. This was adjacent to the general hospital, and we liked it a lot. They had a new Alzheimer's unit opening, so we went to that. They had an ice cream shop, a beauty shop, a little theater, and a swimming pool. They had a lot of amenities. The apartments were really nice as well as the little cottages. The food was really good, but it was catered, so I am not sure exactly what their regular meals were. It had everything you needed. Another thing they had was a little store so if you ran out of something, you can buy it on site. You do not have to leave, which was really nice for older people.
