We toured Cogir of Vancouver. It was fabulous. Christopher took us through the tour. Beautiful facilities. They are very clean and very nice. It was like having a small apartment. It was nice. The food looked delicious. They keep them busy. We are very pleased with that one. They have a theater and a nice restaurant. They have a very good menu that they gave us to review with my mother-in-law. They have a big fireplace. It's very homey. While we were waiting for the staff to come and get us, we talked to three ladies there and they were just giggly. They love it so much. They have friends and activities. They have a bus that they take outings in. It is a beautiful place. The staff was very nice. It's just good and a very nice environment. They have very nice rooms. It's a very good layout. It's a rectangle with a courtyard, and so it's got a lot of rooms.

Cogir of Vancouver was nice and very well kept up. The staff that we interacted with was very pleasant. They had nice size apartments that were updated, they just didn't have any openings at the time. We walked through the dining area, it was very nice. They also had patio areas and a lot of outdoor seating. It was a nice community. They seemed to know the residents who live there by first names. The staff would greet them as they walked through the main door, or at the desk picking up packages. They were very friendly and the staff seemed to know everybody, so I like that.

I had an in-person tour of Cogir of Vancouver. The person that I spoke to was very professional, informative, and listened to me. I saw lots of staff as we passed through the hallways. I liked that because it looked like people were present and there was help available. It was a very beautiful place. It was smaller, which I also liked. I liked that they had a washer and dryer in the unit. They have all the activities. The meals were not scheduled. You could go to the dining room at any time, and it was restaurant-style.

My parents moved into Cogir of Vancouver. Their room is bright and cheery. They have a one-bedroom with a full tiny kitchen. My father is blind and they both use walkers, and there's plenty of room for him to find his way without banging into things. They have really roomy walkways and doorways. Their deck overlooks a garden area with sitting spaces. The building is like a square and in the middle is a garden, a fountain, walking paths, and sitting areas. They've got very friendly staff and really good food. We were very impressed with the food because you can eat anytime you want. There's no scheduled time that you have to eat, which is very nice. I have seen exercise classes, they have bingo, and they have movies. There's a little theater right next door to my parents. There's a one-bedroom apartment with a kitchen with a stacked washer-dryer, but there's also one full-sized washer-dryer per floor.

The tour at Cogir of Vancouver was fine. They basically interviewed me a little bit. The facility is more for people that are needing care, like memory care and a little bit more. I guess for somebody that is not necessarily in the best of health, there's nothing wrong with it. It's just that it didn't didn't seem to fit my my expectations to what they would have and so forth.
I saw their apartments. They're OK and nothing wrong with them. They are clean and nice. I just don't think that would quite fit my needs. It's a nice and easy place to get to, and there's no problem with that. They actually had a nice sign saying here we are. There were no problems in finding it.
It was well maintained and kept clean. No problem with the facilities. It had fairly low pile type of carpeting. There were no trip hazards or anything like that. They do have some activities, and we really didn't dive into that too much while we were there. They have transportation to a doctor if need be or other facility if they want to travel across town.
