I visited Quail Park of Lynnwood for independent living. My first impression driving up to it was it seemed like it was a well-organized place and easy to get to. Walking inside, it's clearly clean and well organized too so it's a good impression. I looked at a 1 or 2-bedroom. It's comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. It had everything I needed. It had a kitchenette, a living room, and a bedroom. It also had something I could use as a den. I think they also had the option of undercover parking. They had possible options of what they call cottages but I didn't get to look there. It had its own garage, which could be important to me. That would give me kind of a workshop space if I have it. The lady called Jennifer was very kind, very gracious, and pleasant to work with. I was suitably impressed by her. I briefly talked to other staff too but that lady I worked with was very good. They had a restaurant and I had a meal there on one of my visits. The food was good and it had a wide-ranging menu.

Quail Park of Lynnwood is a beautiful place. I am very impressed with it, especially with their cottages, but there is a state law that does not allow them to offer medical services for people living in the cottages. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained. It's really very, very nice, but it isn't quite our fit. They have a variety of rooms inside the building. They have studios, one-bedrooms, and two-bedrooms. It's like apartment living, and it's very well furnished with first-class furnishing as far as the appliances and all that, and they're really very nice units, too. The staff was very helpful and very kind. She was great; she was wonderful. They have a pool and a fitness room, which are both very attractive to me. Right now, there is not much happening, but it sounds like they have exercise classes and happy hours. The food preparation sounds really nice, too, and it sounds like they have very good meals there.

Quail Park is a mixed Assisted Living and Independent Living facility and also has a Memory Care wing. My husband and I have lived here for the past 6 ½ years (since shortly after its opening). We have always been quite delighted with our decision, and now during the pandemic, we are so appreciative of the way that the staff watches out for us, helping us to cope. We have brought our special interests and abilities with us and the administrators honor those by inviting our input and participation in leading various activities. For example, I have developed a resident chorus and a theater troupe. It was hard to leave our house, but Quail Park has turned out to be a wonderful home for us!
