I toured Overlake Terrace, and I liked seeing people out in the lobby using the facilities. I also liked the location. It seemed more updated. The person who gave us the tour was well informed. They have a crafts room too.

Overlake Terrace is a wonderful place to live. Best staff, activities, food and value one can find anywhere!

Oak Park Retirement was very nice. The lady who gave me the tour was excellent. However, it appears to be 99% assisted living even though it advertised as independent living. The apartments were nice, and they were larger than some other places, with nice window space. Everything about it was really comfortable-looking all the way around except that there were very few independent living people there. Lunch was acceptable.

We toured Overlake Terrace. They're very good. The amenities were very nice. It's a very well laid out facility. It's nestled in the Microsoft buildings in Redmond. However, it didn't have a walking area, and it's an enclosed community. I do a lot of walking and I need an area where I can go out and walk without being accosted by people, but it's a very nice facility. That's one of our favorites so far. The apartments were very nice. The two-bedroom unit was very spacious. The staff did wonderful.

The representative who showed me around was great and very helpful. Rooms were very nice, as was dining room. I cannot speak about the food or staff because I didn't have much interaction and did not eat the food. Overlake was out of my mom's price range, and was a bit too formal for my mother, but even so, I thought it was a very nice place, and clean (especially compared to some other facilities I've seen).

We like what we have here in Overlake Terrace. There are so many good things, but one thing we appreciate the most is that their servers and helpers are A-one plus. I had a husband that was in three nursing homes before he died and I’ve never seen anything like what they have in Overlake. And the other thing that I like about them is that the staff is excellent. The activities are over. We don’t go to too many of them because we like computers and to study the Bible, and so we’re mostly staying in our place but we do go out to do activities. The food is hard for us because there are so many things that we can’t eat, so that’s been a little problem. Excellent servers, though. It’s very pleasant and the place is comfortable. The only thing is it’s right next to Microsoft and the traffic here is very bad. Bus service is unbelievably wonderful. They don’t only drive us but help us with our packages. They even take us sometimes into our apartments when we come in with all of our buying and stuff like that, and they’re not young; they’re older men but they are absolutely wonderful. It’s more gourmet type food than we’re used to and they give us what we ask for or if we need extra food, they give it to us. We never got hungry. In fact, we’ve gained weight since we’ve been here for six months. We’ve been very pleased here. They smile, know your names, you go to eat and they almost know everything you usually order.

I was impressed with Overlake Terrace from our first interview through moving mom and stepdad into their separate apartments. Transitional housing was wonderful for my stepfather's needs. The staff is amazing and very attentive. Independent housing is perfect for mom and she has met wonderful friends here! It is great!
