This is a wonderful place to live, beautifully kept up with a staff that knows you by name. No name tags here. There is much to do, Bridge, book clubs, volunteering, many activities for all age groups. Great fitness center, swimming pool, outdoor areas, tennis courts. Walking distance to the river.
Maid service, at your door newspapers.
Great health center, library, crafts room.
You can choose from a apartment, all sizes, duplex or cottage. Alzheimer’s unit will soon be built. Gated community, very secure.

The one I’m really familiar with is Falcons Landing, and my mother is a resident there. She’s been there for about 12 years. This facility is primarily for retired military officers. They have independent houses, duplexes, single homes, and five towers of various sized apartments all inter-connected from the common hallway to the common living area with several restaurants, that type of thing. They provide excellent service. Of all the facilities I’ve seen, it’s the best. They have craft facilities and any kind of activities that the residents request. They’ve got three forms of transportation from a large travel bus to a medium-sized transport vehicle to a smaller vehicle that they use to go on overnight excursions or daily excursions. Excellent menu that changes very frequently and they have a formal dining area where it’s preferred that the gentlemen wear coat and tie, no jeans. And then they have also an informal eating area where you can wear jeans or casual clothing attire, and there’s a little snack bar as well. There’s an attached building to the main facility that they call the Johnson Center, which is their assisted living or nursing facility, depending on the requirements of the individual.
