Legacy Retirement Residence of South Jordan was exceptional. We were very much impressed with the level of care. We liked it, and it's a perfect location, but it was just more expensive. The rooms were a little small, but the layout was good with the room that they had to work with and it's tidy and clean. They have very nice, large common areas. There were a lot of areas to walk, too. There's a little dog area and a nice path that loops around so you can walk outside.
Legacy Retirement Residence of South Jordan was beautiful. They have everything that we were looking for as far as an all-inclusive package with the rent. They provide wifi, cable, and phone, so mom can just directly hook up. The dining experience is restaurant-style. You can dine anytime from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and you can get anything on the menu. Be it breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It doesn't matter. You can go to the counter and take your food up to your room as well. We had a meal there and it was delicious. My mom had a hot turkey, homemade mashed potato, and steamed vegetables, while I had an omelet. Both were freshly made. It was great.
The only thing was the room was a little bit smaller than we expected, but it was still very nice. The place was very clean and very quiet. The staff person was very professional, had a lot of information given, answered questions that I should have had, and showed us around the whole facility. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. They're manicured and have lots of trees.
They have several sitting rooms with comfortable furniture, a couple of libraries with many options, games like puzzles and billiards, a large community theater, exercise classes, Wii bowling classes, craft rooms, fitness rooms that are very large and professional with TVs that you can watch while you workout, easily accessible entries, doorways to the courtyards, and a chapel for services if someone wants to participate.
My father-in-law was at Legacy Retirement Residence of South Jordan. He loved it. It was a great place. They took good care of them. He's lived there for about three years. He was in independent living. They gave him a very safe, fun enjoyable place to live. The staff were very professional and very friendly. The building was clean. They took a great interest in their residents. They had lots of activities and he went on a lot of outings, and he enjoyed the bands that would come into play. He participated in those. They were great. They were awesome. I have eaten there, and the food was great. It was very good. We went to Thanksgiving, and it was great. Value for money is very good.
