This place has assisted as well as independent living apartments. My wife and I are in the independent living part. The only down side of living here is that the facility is 40 years old. Still kept nice but old.

We've been staying in Cove Point Retirement for two months now. It's very good. We only get one meal, but we could get three meals if we paid more. The one meal that comes with the rent is a noon meal. Today, we had cheeseburger, tomato and lettuce, pickles, sweet potato fries, fruit, and dessert was a cookie. We like it. The atmosphere's great. The only problem with the independent part is that it's outside as opposed to we looked at a place that was an old hotel, which had everything inside. So, we have to walk 50 feet to get to the clubhouse. They have a lot of church activities. We have bingo every week. We just played balloon tennis this morning and we'll be playing kickball here, and this afternoon, those that wanted to play card games do so. We've had entertainment come a couple of times a month. There's plenty to do. All the staff is friendly and very helpful. This is by far the best community we've been to. This place is 40 years old, so it's not brand new.

My dad is a resident of Cove Point Retirement. It is a good community. They recently sold it in the last couple of years. The new owners have made a lot of cutbacks and staff. They've cut back some of the programs that were being offered, but they still do a good job there. They are still concerned about the residents. It is a one-bedroom apartment, the one that my dad is in. It has a full kitchen and a stackable washer and dryer for laundry. It's very clean. It has a gas fireplace, cable TV, internet, and all those options. On my dad's plan, they only send people over once a week to clean what he can't clean every day. They have options to pay more if they need more care or more help on the independent side. They keep the grounds really clean. It's a good place. We were starting to look because they were trying to make some changes. The staff members were very caring and genuine with their feelings and dealings about their residents there. The facility is a little outdated.

I visited Cove Point in Provo. It's independent living, but they have some other options there. They have individual apartments, and in the main building, they also have care that can be provided if you need extra care. The only problem I saw was that it only provided one meal a day instead of three. I saw two apartments, and they weren't as nice as the current place I'm in. The staff was good, but the facility was older, so it wasn't quite as well kept. The yards were really nice, and they have a little stream that goes through it. The courtyard was nice, but the walkways were a bit cracked. Some of them have been repaired and some have not, so they weren't quite kept up as well.
The location is good, but it doesn't have too many things close by. You can enter it from both Cove Lane and State Street, which is good, but it's about three quarters of a mile before you get to any businesses. It's close to doctors' offices and some business, but you have to go a mile or so for shopping. It's really not that bad, though.

My dad has moved into Cove Point. The staff is really nice. The apartment was cleaned up and repaired before he moved in. This is his second time there, so we're happy with it. The food and dining area are very good. Many of the occupants seem to be very happy. They gather, they do things, they play some bingo, and they have some exercise activities. The maintenance and appearance are very good. They have a small stream that runs through the middle of the facility and bridges. It is a well-kept and shaded area. The facilities are good.

I toured Cove Point Retirement. The independent living was good, except it was a long way to walk to the cafeteria to eat. The little apartments were very cute, and I liked those, but as they transition to dependent living, it's not so good. The staff member who accommodated me was very nice, they had a printed list of activities, but I did not observe any. In the independent living section they have a nice kitchen set up, with a full size refrigerator, washer and dryer, a little fireplace, and you can have your own TV. They have a library, but it's quite small.

Cove Point Retirement is very nice. If I were to move into a senior living place, Cove Point Retirement so far is the one I like the most. The rooms are nice size. Each apartment is not super big, but for one person, it is perfect. The staff members were very nice, very accommodating and friendly; I was very impressed. They had activities going on, but I did not pay attention to them.

Cove Point Retirement is perfect. I couldn't have found a better place, and I'm very happy. We have bus rides to the doctor, we go out to lunch, we go grocery shopping several times a week, and there are in-house activities. We have a magnificent activities director here, and she plans all kinds of things for us to do. We also have bingo once a week, and she has people come in to perform for us and do activities. There's nothing that I don't like. We have wonderful chefs and a wonderful kitchen staff. It's an older building, but it's still in excellent shape.
