I liked the layout of the apartments at River Meadows Senior Living. They were individual apartments so you had your own front door and back door and your own garage. I liked that you were part of a community where you could eat in your own place if you wanted to and take your own washer and dryer with you. The people were great. They have some therapy and exercise classes. For us, this was by far the better fit.

River Meadows Senior Living was a very nice facility. But it had one drawback. It had seventeen cottages, I think, plus an assisted living unit and a memory unit, but the one problem was we would have been the only gentiles in the place. The scenery was beautiful. The cottages were very nice, well built, and well laid out. Actually, they were the only ones we looked at that had two-car garages, and some of them had full basements. But the community wasn't for us.
