My mother-in-law will be moving into Garden Estates of Temple. So far, every member of the staff has gone out of their way to make us feel at home, and also the room that they offered her is super spacious. It is like one and a half times the size of regular studios that we've looked at. This place is awesome. The staff who gave me the tour was fantastic. She was super polite and very friendly. We have not tried the food yet, but the dining room looks very clean. We got to meet the chef that they've just hired on here. When we met everybody the other day, they all introduced themselves. The community environment is clean. They've got two different courtyards for residents to go out. They've got a semi-private activity room. So even if they're playing bingo, having fun, and being loud, they're not interrupting other residents that might just be hanging out in the lobby. It's pretty impressive. It looks like they have different kinds of activities throughout the day. Two times a week they go on trips to like Wal-Mart, Dollar Store, or something. Three meals a day and a snack are included in her cost.

My mother enjoys it there at Garden Estates of Temple. She is getting to meet new people and is getting more active and involved there. She's eating better. The food is good. It's good for independent living and it's a safe place to live. They have a movie night and they do trips to go to lunch or to other things. They have game time and craft days. They do a variety of activities.

Garden Estates have different levels of care. The atmosphere was very good, and it was our second choice. It was elegant in as far as the hallway and the reception area. The model room was nice, but they showed us one that needed paint, and it wasn’t that nice. The community areas were very clean, and the dining room looked nice. They’re trying to appeal to men more with the barbecue cookout and activities like that.

I liked Garden Estates best. They kept up with their activities, took input from the residents, and had the most interactive with the residents. The dining area was very nice, and the staff seemed warm and caring. Their food was nutritious, and they would alter it depending if you were diabetic or not.

Garden Estate is a very nice place and very friendly as well. I saw their residents were only sitting around and not really talking a lot, but their rooms were very nice. The people that work there were extremely nice to the residents and very caring to them.
