We chose The Forum at Park Lane because it met most of our requirement. It's close in proximity to where my aunt wants to be, and the price is very reasonable. She's able to get a 2-bedroom 2-bathroom with a large living area, at a very reasonable price. The staff members were really good and really knowledgeable, they have some good recommendations as well. They're more sales-oriented but not terribly off-putting by that. The community looked like a fun place to live. We had lunch there, and we really enjoyed that. The apartment is pretty much what sold us on this place because there's a lot of wall-space, and my aunt can bring some of her furniture which is important to her.

The Forum is very upscale, affluent, and expensive. The place looked fine. They had trees outside. It's conveniently located on Highway 75, and kind of in the center of things, next to a major mall.

The Forum at Park Lane was very beautiful and lovely. It just had too many old people, and the activities were more focused more on really old people who couldn't get around anymore and those who could only sit and do things on a table. It was beautifully-maintained, but it was extremely challenging to get from one end to another. The people and meals were lovely, and the staff was super nice.

I liked The Forum at Park Lane very much. I liked the look of the place very much and that the apartment’s square footage was bigger than the apartments in a lot of other places. The newer places have cut down on the square footage, but the rooms are bigger at The Forum since it's been around for 25 years. The food was delicious. We had lunch there and the food was excellent. I don’t believe they had a swimming pool, but they had everything else, like a salon, a library, and a room that they use to show movies.

The Forum was well appointed. My mother had a corner apartment which had lots of light and windows. Not all of them were like that, but she was on the first floor, and it was a very nice apartment. The office staff was always nice and helpful. It was a nice facility.

My wife and I spent seven years at The Forum. It was excellent. We hated to leave, but they increased the rent by $500 a month. It consisted of five buildings; one was a very well-organized health center, and four of the buildings were for independent living. In January of this year, they took the last building and put that into an assisted living building. We loved it. We still think it's one of the best centers in Dallas. The attitude of the staff was excellent. The rooms were very good. We had a nice apartment, and we wished we could've stayed there.

We went to The Forum at Park Lane and we like it. It was very nice, but it was more of an independent living and my mother needed assisted living, so it would not benefit her. They showed me the apartments available for assisted living and for independent living -- it's great, but for assisted it was not nice. It was small, but they were beautiful. The staff were great. They were very friendly and I think they do their job very well. Even the residents that were there were very nice. The food was very good too. They had people from the outside who came in and dined there; it's like a restaurant. Family members can come in and they pay. I like the interior design, the hallways, the entry halls, they were very nice.
