Holiday Fox Run Estates was my grandmother's and my mom's second choice. They liked the layout of the rooms, and the staff was incredibly kind. We ended up chatting for like three hours. The facility was lovely. It was an older building, but it was better maintained, and the rooms were spacious. I think they had balconies. They had a nice chapel and they had a library with puzzles and board games. The residents that we passed by and spoke with seemed very happy. They had a variety of rooms. I think we toured two different one-bedrooms. They had activities but not quite as many as the other place. The drawback was mostly the price like the cost compared to the amenities. It would be $600 more a month but they didn't provide nearly the same amenities. They did not have an upper-floor room, which is what my grandmother preferred. She didn't like being on the grounds; she doesn't feel safe. The housekeeping would only wash linens if they were the company's linens. If you use your own sheets, they wouldn't wash them. They had certain days that they would do transport, so you would have to work your doctor's appointments around those days.

Holiday Fox Run Estates was very accommodating and friendly. They had all the amenities that you would expect at that type of place. They have a salon for women and a barbershop for men. They have an activities director and activity schedules. They provide three meals a day, but you have options of what you want to eat. So, you're not tied into the same thing every day. The rooms were newly painted. They're very well kept and very clean. There weren't even footprints even on the carpet. Them there's a covered parking available. They have arts and crafts activities, game rooms, libraries, and exercise equipment. You can walk around inside or on a nicer day, you can walk the entire perimeter on a paved path. If you have the downstairs studio, each of these little apartments has a small covered patio area that's big enough for you to sit and enjoy the fresh air. They can put a little fence barrier there and they encourage pets if you have one.

We have chosen Holiday Fox Run Estates for my mother. The residents were all engaging with one another and with the staff. They were playing games, and they were smiling. The staff was warm and understanding of being in the position I was in as far as putting Mother into a facility. It was clean, it felt like home, and it was nice. It was calm. It was not an uppity wine and cheese type of place. It was just a nice community of people. I enjoyed that. Because it's an independent living, they have apartments. My mother would have a balcony if she was on the second floor or a small garden area of her own that she could use. She wouldn't have to cook, she could have meals prepared for her. It was exactly the support that we needed for her.

We went to Fox Run Estates. It was around lunchtime, they were just finishing lunch, and it smelled good there. The staff was very nice. There were several interactions with the tour guide, who was the assistant manager. Everything was handled in a special way, they communicated nicely, and they have a very good rapport with the guests. As we walked through the dining room, he was saying hello to people, so they knew their names. That shows to me that they don't just treat them as a number, they have a name. So that's a big part. The facility was a little bit old and rundown, and the parking was a little bit of a situation. I don't think my mother could park in their garage. I think she'd be very nervous driving in and out of it, and there were several layers of steps that she would have to navigate. She's not good with steps, so that's a little bit of a bummer. I wish the pricing was a little bit lower, especially my perception of the condition of the facility would have led me to think it was a lesser price, but it was just as expensive as the nice place we went to.

Fox Run Estates is well-cared for. It's clean, the staff is really friendly, and the people that live there seem very happy. It's an independent living, but you can age in place. So it starts out as an independent living, so it's less expensive, and then you add on as you need help like a la carte. So I like that. The staff that gave the tour was very friendly and were helping different residents, so I thought it was good. The menu looks really good, there's a wide variety to choose from, and it looks healthy. The rooms were very nice. They don't have a full kitchen, which is a negative to me, but they're big and roomy, and they have a patio or a balcony, so they can go outside and still be connected to their apartment. I like that.

We just didn't like Fox Run Estates at all. They were not organized. This was a very old facility. The surroundings on the outside were nice, but the inside was old. My mom didn't like the air conditioners that looked like a hotel room, a permanent fixture, and bulky. It didn't seem as clean; it just had a dirty feel to it. I don't know how to describe it. The staff just weren't ready for us, unorganized, and I had to wait on them. She wanted to give us information, and we were dealt with it, and she still took forever to get us more information. We were there at dinner time and everybody bragged about the food. They have a chapel. The dining room was spacious.

I toured Fox Run Estates. It's really good; the residents seem like they're very happy in there. It seems like an active community. It was clean and nice. They got a nice dining room. They do have somebody that comes in and do haircuts, beauty treatment, stuff like that. They do have a shuttle service that runs out to various locations, grocery stores. They do some tours of things to see in the area. It's homey, I would give it a five-star.

Fox Run Estates seemed like a well-established community. The staff seemed like they've worked there for many years. I liked the community there. We saw a studio and a one-bedroom for my father. They were a little smaller, but I thought they had pretty good layouts. They had the handicap accessibility, so that was good. He could get around very well in there. They had the exercise room, TV room, and billiards. I liked their outdoor courtyard a little bit better than the other place. They had more flowers and their landscape was better. The facility had a little more wear on it, but it was clean. The staff was really good. We didn't have food, but it smelled good.

I toured Fox Run Estates, and it was nice. They had nice rooms, and I would have preferred a full kitchen, but they had a kitchenette, and they had a delightful dining area. It wasn't all in a city location, it was in an area where you had a lot of grass surrounded by some woods behind it. There are greenery and places to walk without being encompassed in buildings, and you can interact with some of the people there. Everybody was friendly. They had apartments that weren't considered a one-bedroom because it didn't have a separate bedroom. They had a kitchenette with a little sink and a little refrigerator. I didn't get to observe any activities, but I remember them pointing out that they had a beauty salon, places to eat or to hang out, and they have a library. They supply meals, but you're welcome to fix yourself something, but they do supply three meals a day.

I am a resident of Fox Run Estates. The staff is excellent, very supportive, very helpful, and caring people. I would say the food's really good. We had a brunch today and the food was excellent. There are all kinds of activities here and the community is very active. I like it so much and I've talked to two people and I'm trying to get them to move in. Here in this community the three meals are part of your rent. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The maintenance is well done and it's a beautiful property. I plan to stay here for a while. The transportation here is excellent. The driver is very personable. Everybody's real professional here. The community is made up of people that consider each other family. From what I can tell, it is encouraged by the general manager, the assistant general manager, and the activity director.

I visited Fox Run Estates. It was nice because you can have a yard if you are on the first floor, and if you have a dog that is great. They feed you. There are people doing independent living, but they give you three meals a day. They pay all your utilities. I think if you need assisted living, they will let you stay if you have memory problems as long as you are not wandering off the street. They are pretty nice about keeping people there. It seemed like a nice place. The visit was very nice. The people were really friendly and helpful. The staff is really nice, and we were accommodated. They do not have a pool, but they have almost everything. They have a lot. They pay all your bills, and everything was free like your electricity, your TV, and internet. They do your sheets. They clean your carpet once a week. Those are pretty nice. It is an older building, but was very clean and cheerful. It was $1,995 including meals while most of these places are $3,000- $4,000 a month. They said we are getting lunch with guests, but right now they are not inviting guests into the dining room. The residents can eat in the dining room, but they have not opened it up to the public yet.

My auntie is a current resident of Fox Run Estates. The facility itself is large. I did some background research about it, and I think they're operating throughout the state. I have a lot of confidence with large corporations who operate these kinds of facilities, because they are more reliable, and they care about their reputation. She is in a one-bedroom unit that is nice and clean. It's in an older neighborhood, but the facility itself is modern, modern, looked pretty good, and has a very amicable environment. We had lunch with her, and the staff was pretty friendly. Overall, I think that they're very friendly, and they have a very courteous service over there.

First of all, I love this place, and the people are great. I've lost a lot of weight before coming here. I can't believe how every mile is wonderful. I feel so blessed to have found this. You go to your room at night and feel so blessed to be with such wonderful people. We played games and we became friends quickly with people easily. You won't be sorry to be here with such wonderful people.

Fox Run Estates was great. If and when we do make a decision, that will probably be the route we'll go. We liked the setup. It was very clean, they were very friendly, and the residents seemed to be well taken care of. The staff who we worked with did a great job. She knew the facility and she has followed up since then, so I think the staff there was awesome.

Nice facility, manicured and well maintained. Management is great, willing to help in any way. Maintenance is prompt, problems are handled! Scale of 1-5 would rate food service A+. Rent is too high! Parking space could be improved. Hot food is cold, not enough green vegetables, too many carbs, not enough protein.

The facility is clean and the staff is friendly. They take good care of the residents. Resident group activities are limited, but participants enjoy them. The main issue is the bad food. Frankly it is not well planned for an Elderly community. Lots of fatty meals with loads of gravy. The Soup de Jour appears to be made from yesterdays leftovers. For the price of the leasing and few amenities, one would expect a much higher dietary standard and better cuisine. Diabetics beware!!! Kitchen and wait staff turn over frequently, and replacements are apparently hard to find. Small portions of take out food is supplemented when kitchen staff is diminished.

This community has exceeded my expectations by far. We visited several places before choosing Fox Run Estates in Arlington for our Grandparents a year and a half ago. This community is a cheerful place with lots of activities. The staff is second to none. My Grandparents have enjoyed living here and they love everyone that works here. Not one complaint from them and believe me I was sooo afraid that the transition would be a rough one. They are happy and so are we. I highly recommend this community. Management is key and this place has the BEST STAFF.

My dad just signed a lease and is excited about moving in here. We visited 3-4 other properties and based on the above, it was the best bang for the buck. [Another community] was good too. Dad just liked this place better. Keri Wykoff w/ Caring.com was a true blessing in our search esp when it came to matching my Dad based on his needs and financials.

The apartments at Fox Run Estates were excellent. For a studio, it was spacious. They have outside entertainment that comes in, they have Bingo, and they have a craft room. One of the nice things they have is a Veterans Memorial Wall. The dining area was very nice. The person that showed us around was excellent.

They had a library, a pool table, card table, poker table, and activities. The staff was very nice. It's been there for over 10 years, and it still looked new. Everybody seemed to be accommodating to the residents. We saw a one-bedroom apartment with a balcony that wrapped around it. It was very really nice.

Fox Run Estates was excellent; very friendly people both the staff and the residents. Very clean and lovely place. She would have enjoyed being there, but it was not affordable for my mom. The size and the amenities were everything that you could ask for. They had something to offer for everybody. It was a very lively, fun, and engaging atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the residents spoke so highly of the staff too.

They had a chapel, library, and a well-planned list of activities. They could improve by making the price a little lower and the rooms a little bigger.

I went to one of the jazz concerts at Fox Run Estates. This place was older, but they were friendly. They still call to check on me and see how my progress is going. I’ve been invited back to some of their jazz concerts. The living quarters were smaller than the others that I had seen, but they were clean, well organized, and seemed to be in good shape. However, parking was bad for me because I’m claustrophobic, and it was small. They did say they have people that will park your car and they will bring it back to you, so that wouldn’t be a problem. The staff was very nice. The dining room was a little more crowded but if you’re there, you want to be around other people anyway. I’m a very social person, so it was not a problem for me.

Fox Run Estates was a very beautiful facility. They had little patios on the ground floor and small balconies on the second floor which I thought was very pleasant for the residents. The price was a little bit more than what I was thinking but I would definitely consider this for my mom. I loved the layout of the apartments and the dining area. It just looked very convenient for everyone. Their amenities make this facility very desirable. I really liked it.

Fox Run Estates was a very new facility. I was impressed with the layout of the facility as well as its general appearance although I did not feel that I fit in very well there. It was not anything specific. It was just that there weren’t many people within my own age group. They all seemed much older than me, and it was simply difficult to relate. However, the staff was extremely courteous. Even though I was just visiting, they did very well at attending to whatever needs I happened to have because I spent the lunch hour there with them. The largest amenity that I noticed was the open area where everyone could congregate. The dining area was adjacent to the lobby, and it was immaculate.

I like that they have balconies, my father can smoke there, and it's a smaller facility. One of the other facilities that we looked at were a little bit more hospital feeling. This was more family oriented, a little more upscale, and a little more elegant. They have a bus that takes the residents on certain days to doctor's appointments. I was very impressed with Fox Run Estates. The staff was great, the place was well taken care of, very friendly, and pleasant. The only thing that I didn't like about it was the lack of parking. When I'd go to see my father, I'd have to cross the street to get there. However, they let you relax, enjoy your food, and take your time because they just have one feeding. They have the plates, glasses, silverware, and the napkins all laid out, and it's more inviting.

Fox Run Estates was a nice facility, and the food was good. The staff was very helpful. The accommodations were more than adequate; the rooms were nice, adequately sized, and clean. I would highly recommend Fox Run, but it is farther away from where I live right now. It’s a very good community, and the food was extremely good. The people were really nice. They have doors to the outside on their downstairs apartment, and it didn’t seem like the inside of the building. They have patios outside. It was very well done, and I just enjoyed that place. However, price and distance were the reasons why I didn’t choose the place.

Fox Run Estates serve three meals a day; she partakes in it, but sometimes she complains about the food, as sometimes it’s good and sometimes not. But she enjoys the staff. She lives in an apartment that really doesn’t have a great view and a sidewalk, but other than that she seems pretty happy there. She has group of people that she does things with. She is active in most of the activities like bingo, card games, and board games. Somebody comes, cleans, and changes the bedsheets.

I visited several communities, and one is Fox Run. We came across it using the Caring.com website. They were very accommodating and helpful. The rooms are very small which is one of the reasons we didn't choose them. The staff is wonderful. We really like the staff. The dining is very open, and we really liked that. The food is good too. There is only one elevator in the place. That is another reason we did not choose that one. If something happens to the elevator, we thought it would be an issue. We didn't like that the room was small, and we didn't like that there is one elevator in the whole place. As for activities, they pretty much have the same things as the other facility. They have outings, crafts, dominoes, cards, and piano. The friendliness of the staff and the openness of the dining room impressed me.
