When I moved in we had shuttle service to doctors and groceries and outside activities, cheap cable, and apartment ran events. Now there is no shuttle van, no apartment events only activities run by the residents themselves, and cable is being removed as of 6/2023 many are moving out.

The community of Heritage Village Residences is very nice. I like it. Everything's really clean. The grounds look nice and they have some kind of facility in the same parking lot where they can go and work out and hang out on the patio. The only thing was it was expensive.

I have moved into Heritage Village. They have an immediate opening, which was kind of important to me. It's about what I expected. It's comfortable, clean, and warm. The staff is friendly and courteous. The food is very good. Whenever they have a gathering of any sort, they always have food, but other than that, you do your own cooking. They have lots of activities. They have line dancing, water aerobics, and an indoor, heated swimming pool. It's all independent living.

Heritage Village is connected with the senior center, so if you live in this community you're automatically free to use the senior center. The only thing we didn't really like was that you use the people in the senior center, so that didn't provide quite the protection we were looking for. Even the parking area and everything was gated, so that just seemed to be more open to the public. They're close to the mall and everything, and we just felt like it was too open and people could have access to the apartments. They had some activities there and they gave us a monthly activity calendar, but they hadn't finished filling it out yet. There were four or five activities happening within that month. The staff member who gave us the tour said that they didn't plan a lot of activities in comparison to other places because all people have to do is walk across the parking lot and they're right there in the senior citizens' activity center. I saw an actual water activity class going on while we were there, so there were seniors in the pool, but there were also a number of children. The community is also close to a school, so we decided not to go that route.

Everything was very nice at Heritage Village. It was convenient to the area that I would like to stay in. However, the price was a little bit higher than I can afford right now and my husband was not really crazy about being in an apartment setting. The staff member who assisted us was very nice and very helpful. She took us on a tour and she showed us everything. She was good. There's the swimming pool and the exercise room, and they have a lot of activities. The day that we were there, they had a young group of musicians playing. They also had Bingo and different games going on.

Heritage Village was nice. It served continental breakfast six days a week, but they didn't have a lot of the amenities other places have. The apartment was really nice and updated with granite countertops and stainless appliances.

Heritage Village was very good, and we liked it a lot; in fact, my mom already put a deposit. The rooms were very spacious and updated. They had a lot of different floor plans; they had an indoor heated pool. It’s a couple hundred feet away from the Hurst Senior Center, and they have every activity you can imagine there. The staff was very accommodating, friendly, and welcoming. They did a nice job.

My dad has lived at Heritage Village for three weeks now. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. The place is phenomenal and only about a year old. His apartment is great because it is updated, brand-new, nice, and clean. They have an indoor pool, and across the parking lot is the Hurst Senior Activity Center, which is free to residents. They can go in there and sign up to do anything from working at the pools, joining a book club, to doing arts and crafts. Heritage Village is very cost effective, clean and new. The staff is awesome and very helpful and so are the residents. There are many activities for them to do.

The apartments at Heritage Village are two or three times bigger than other facilities. Some of these places are like a hospice, but this place is like an apartment complex. I think it has about 120 units, and only about half of them are committed. You can do anything like dancing, bridge, reading, anything you can think of. I like the fact that you're not treated like you're a 100 years old; you're treated like a person. Most of them they want to hold your hand, put you to bed, wake up. These people they leave you alone. They don't feed you, you feed yourself. There is also a wonderful, city-owned facility just across the parking lot. A first-class senior center owned by the city of Hurst, TX which is a tremendous attraction.
