I have moved into Ivy Point Kingwood. All the residents seem so warm and friendly. When we drove up it felt like I was coming home. Just looking at the apartments, they have a homey feel. I have a two-bedroom apartment, the living area has hardwood floors, the bedrooms are carpeted, and there's a huge walk-in closet and a regular-sized closet in the guest bedroom. It was extremely clean. We looked for dust everywhere and didn't find any. Being a new resident, I have met several of the residents in the complex, and they're all long-time residents, so that's awesome. It's that kind of place, which certified my selection of this apartment. It's very modern, has up-to-date appliances, and there's a side-by-side refrigerator rather than the old little top freezer. The staff was very friendly, they greet you in the morning when you see them for the first time, and they seem to know what they're doing. The lead maintenance man is extremely good, he's programmed a garage door opener for me, and he's going to mount some art on the wall for me. The staff is professional and very good. They have activities every day, and sometimes they had a couple of morning and afternoon activities. They even have church services once or twice a month, and then they have a guest choir that comes in and does music once a month on Sundays and Saturdays. They have a little poker tournament on Saturday afternoons if you don't want to watch football or baseball, we also have arts and crafts, there's a garden club, and a book club.

Ivy Point Kingwood Apartments is fairly new and it does not have assisted living or memory care in it. The apartments were very nice and bright with big windows. It was lovely. The staff was very accommodating. They don't offer meals to anybody since everybody has their own kitchen.
