About This Community
Treemont Retirement Community provides the best value in senior care & senior living in Houston. As a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), Treemont provides an affordable monthly fee, ranging from $1,600 monthly to $3,750 monthly, with no buy-in. Treemont is the perfect community for those who have monetary resources, yet are frugal and want to conserve their resources. Many of our residents chose Treemont as an “affordable” option. As a CCRC campus, we are able to provide a wide range of services to meet the current needs of our residents, while also having additional home care services available should they become desirable in the future. Your address doesn't have to change as your needs do!
Treemont Retirement Community offers two options for Assisted Living:
1) Independence Plus in your Independent Living apartment. Seniors who need help with activities of daily living can receive home health services in their retirement apartment instead of moving to a licensed assisted living facility. This permits you to maintain a more independent lifestyle, and keep a larger living unit, often at a lower cost than comparable assisted living facilities. Treemont has entered into a “Preferred Provider” agreement with Senior Allegiance, Inc. which is licensed to provide both skilled home health services under the Medicare program, and Personal Assistance services. Because Senior Allegiance, Inc. maintains an office on-site, residents never have to worry about “minimum visit” charges. This allows residents to enjoy an active and independent lifestyle while being capable of adding a la carte services as needed.
The most popular of the home health services is assistance with managing medications. Another popular service is the “AM start” program that provides assistance with bathing and dressing, and helps residents get up and out to breakfast in the morning. This positive start to the day helps assure residents are able to fully enjoy the activities and social life at Treemont. Senior Allegiance offers preferred pricing for its services to Treemont Residents.
Independent Living provides an “all-inclusive” monthly rate that includes: 3 meals daily, weekly housekeeping, transportation to doctor’s appointments and shopping, a robust activities program, emergency call system in your apartment, optional security checks and more! All for a starting monthly rate of $1,600.00.

2) Traditional Assisted Living in our Health Care Center. Treemont’s “all-inclusive” Assisted Living option offers personalized assistance, supportive services and compassionate care in a professionally managed, carefully designed community setting in Treemont’s Health Care Center. It’s the perfect alternative for seniors who can no longer live on their own at home, yet don’t need 24-hour, complex skilled medical care. Treemont Assisted Living has an all-inclusive price, starting at $3,750, that includes many services that the residents would find themselves paying extra for in any other setting.
Approach provides the ideal solution for seniors who need some help with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing and medication reminders. We focus on wellness and keeping residents as independent as possible by providing a tailored plan of assistance. Our residents enjoy beautifully appointed living spaces, delicious meals, engaging social activities, and personalized assistance and care. In your own airy, room you will enjoy all the comforts of home, and do as much for yourself as you are able. You can enjoy three home-style meals each and take part in as many of our social and recreational activities as you choose.
Meanwhile, whenever you need assistance, whether it is with dressing, bathing, dining, our friendly highly trained staff is at your services. Through consultation with you and your family and regular care plans, we ensure that you will receive just the right amount of care for your needs. Isn’t it comforting to know that you can be in good company, in good care, and be independent with a little helping hand when you need it? At Treemont, we offer help when you need it and independence when you want it.

I like everything about living at Treemont. It's clean and orderly, and the service is good. The staff is nice, and the food service is well organized and serves healthy meals. The owners are very accommodating about residents' food preferences. We're close to Memorial City Mall and the emergency room at Memorial Hermann hospital. There are many activities; musical performances, exercise programs, field trips, etc. It's a great value, as well.

I have chosen Treemont Retirement Community. It's a convenient location, and it's got smaller rooms, which I don't care for, but it was cheaper rent. I got a year's lease to make sure they can't change it for the next year. The staff who toured me is a 5. She did everything I asked, she went out of her way, she's a very pleasant person, and she got everything done properly. However, there was no gym. There's one treadmill and one bicycle, it's all they have for a workout. That's another negative. In terms of location, it's close to my family. The place is a little bit older.

We toured Treemont Retirement Community, their food made me sick. I don't want to say bad things about them but it felt institutional, and it seemed like it was more of a hospital. They had both assisted living and a full CCRC, so a lot of their residents there were older and looking for assisted living. They were all lumped into one big facility. I didn't get the real feeling that I would ever consider it home. It just didn't seem right. They had 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments with not a full kitchen, but what they called a kitchenette. They offered three meals a day. The kitchenette involved a small fridge and a microwave, and that's about the extent of the kitchen. It seemed they have 12 acres of land that they had developed, and it was nice as far as the wooded areas. They made their grounds look very, very nice and they have plenty of places to walk so you wouldn't feel that it was in the city at all. It was more like a plantation or something like that. It was very nice, but it wasn't very convenient though. They were the first facility that I talked to and they gave me an education on what independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care are. And they had all of that in their location. It's also their distance from my daughter, and not just because they have bad food. The person who showed me around, Linda, was very helpful.

I'm moving into Treemont in Houston. I chose them because of the pricing. The pricing is what attracted me. It does include three meals a day, either in the dining room or you can get it for takeout. I tried their food. I did enjoy it. I thought it was very good. I've had two lunches there, so I enjoyed that.
The staff were all very cheerful, friendly, and helpful. I looked at several apartments. Each has a kitchenette. They're going to put in new flooring, paint, and do other things like ceiling fans and change some doors for me. I can personalize the apartment. I have some good views. It is an older facility, but it's well-maintained. It appears to be comfortable. The newer buildings are pretty chrome and slick. It has a more comfortable home-like feel in the lobby and the other areas.
I was also impressed with their activities calendar. They've got not only exercise programs going on during the day, but they've got some art, craft activities, and music activities. They have transportation to local activities, grocery shopping, and medical visits. They have a community laundry room on each floor. There's a health club nearby that has classes that I'm planning on going to. There are things outside that are available. Just the comfortable setting and the ability to be around other people in a more of a homey atmosphere is what attracted me.

I didn't like Treemont. It was far too big for me because I like them a little bit smaller. It's quiet back in there, but it's on a busy street. I think a lot of people would've liked it, but I didn't like it personally. I don't have anything to say as far as how good they are or anything like that, because when you visit like that, you're visiting pretty fast. It was only the first visit, and I really can't give a really good evaluation of them except that I wouldn't live there, but a lot of people would. The apartments were small, and they only had kitchenettes, which is fine because they were giving three meals a day. The place is so big, I don't see how you have a chance to meet a lot of the residents. When I was there, I didn't see very many, and the dining room had long hours, so they come at different times. They had a courtyard, but we did not go out in it. The staff showed me all the common areas. It's a quiet community considering that it's on a busy street, but things were a little bit older. Not that they aren't good, they're just older, so it's not a big deal.

I moved my brother into The Treemont Retirement Community. He has his own room, it's good, and the place is almost 50 years old. It's not Hollywood, but it's not bad either for the cost compared to other places. It's not bad, we got the bigger room. The food seems to be good according to other residents; they're pretty happy with it. The staff is really good, there are activities, but with the COVID a lot of the stuff that they used to do they're not doing yet. The cafeteria is not even open yet, and they're delivering all the meals to the rooms. They had to do what they can do to keep everybody safe. It's not a five-star hotel kind of looking place, it's more of a three-star hotel place if that's what you're going to compare it to. It's pretty clean, lots of other people have been there a long time, so they don't turn over people regularly.

My parents moved into The Treemont Retirement Community. My mother picked the place because of the price. The place is very nice. The room is fine, it's a one-bedroom, it's the perfect size, and everything is nice. The food is not good, but she's getting used to it. Right now they're bringing the food to them, and by the time it arrives it's cold. I think it's good for my mother. She has talked to more people, she goes out and sits down in the yard, and somebody always comes and talks to her.

very rude people the activity direector is very rude to me and my dad

My brother is very pleased with Treemont Retirement Community. We needed a place with three meals a day, seven days a week and that was our reason why we chose them. The price was excellent with the three meals. I've gone there to eat and they have very nice meals. He eats a lot and he likes the food. They have exercises that he does in the morning after breakfast and tai-chi on Thursdays. There's an exercise program every day at 9:00 that he goes to. The only thing they don't have is a swimming pool and he would really like a swimming pool. They have some dances and people come in to entertain them. Everybody's very accommodating, very friendly, and always appear willing to help. He says that even when he had some issues in his apartment, they were there right away. My dealings with the people there have been great, and he says he's been real pleased with them, too.

The Treemont was more assisted living than senior apartments. To me, they were more geared toward assisted living mainly because the kitchen in the apartments did not have a stove, just a refrigerator and a microwave. One thing that I really liked was they had different seating areas. People had been putting puzzles together and put them in frames, which is one of the things I like doing. I loved the fireplace. We walked around there and on the really nice little patio area, which was a place that I enjoyed. The lady that I talked to was very nice and understanding. They were good, and the apartments were nice and functional. As far as the facilities and everything, they were very nice.

Treemont was not well illuminated and seemed to me to be on the dark side. The rooms were not as well appointed. The distance again was somewhat further out then I had planned to go. They had a restaurant, but they missed the boat as they forgot to invite me to a meal so I could taste the food, whereas at the other facility I visited that was one of the first things they did. I was not impressed with their grounds; that was another thing. The unfortunate thing because when I arrived by appointment, they kept me waiting for about 20 minutes, and I came on time for an appointment; I didn’t appreciate that.

Treemont was actually one of the ones the my brother was thinking about, but I don’t know. It looked more like a hospital to me than an apartment. It had lots of activities, and I think it had like a microwave. Everyone was really nice, and the residents looked happy.

Treemont's people and staff were very nice and gave me a complete tour. The facility is quite adequate and not as fancy, but the price was very reasonable. The amenities are quite good and adequate. They have physical therapy, an exercise room, a dining area, and a library. The staff was very cooperative, very nice, helpful, provided all information, and answered all questions.

What I liked about Treemont was they had availability. It was open and didn't have a buy-in, which is what I really liked. I’m not really sure what they had every day, but it was too old for me and I wasn’t ready for it. The staff was very nice and good. The food was OK, but they didn’t have a lot for vegetarians. They had salads, and I don’t want salad. It was fine, but not for my whole meal. I saw the one-bedroom that they had available for me, and it was doable. I really wasn’t ready for that, but I liked it, it didn’t smell, and it was good.

It was beautiful. The people were active, and the place was busy. I had a tour guide, and she went over all the details about entertainment and all the rooms and showed me one of the apartments. The thing I did not like about Treemont was the rooms all opened on a hallway. They had a very good chef, and it was probably the best place where we ate. They had all sorts of activities, all kinds of games, clubs, weight rooms, exercise and just about any kind of thing you wanted to do. They would help you go to the shopping center and to the grocery store. I would recommend them except for the indoor hallways.

I couldn't find a parking space for one thing. They said they were having some work done; that is why there weren't any parking spaces. When you get as old as I am, you don't like to walk very far. Treemont Retirement Community has been there a long time because I know they have re-done it. It is on Westheimer which is a very busy part of town. I didn't really even consider it. If I remember correctly, some of the apartments had mini-kitchens. The food was OK. I just wasn't impressed with the facility. Maybe it was the fact that I had to walk with my walker for quite a ways and a few other things.

Halls were SO DREARY & everywhere looked like it needs maintainance or updating. My daughter was worried about security with the Westheimer location.

I didn't like the independent living at Treemont Retirement. The first time we went there, they put my aunt in independent living. It's because she was able to do everything by herself. We thought that she could be alone and many people would be taking her to lunch, taking her to the places where they have music, but it was not like that. They were taking her to lunch, but they left her there, like you go by yourself, but really she needs a person to be with her to help her to choose the food because everybody goes to a line and they pick the food that they want, but she is not able to do that.
It's difficult for a person who really cannot move well. She was in a walker and carries the tray to put all the food on there. They were asking for almost a thousand dollars only to help her to take a shower three days in a week and to take her to lunch three times and to clean her apartment, that's it. It's not worth it.

I have my dad at Treemont and he is quite happy. Not only the staff are very friendly but the residents as well. It was just a very open environment. One of the reasons why we chose this facility is that when they invited us for lunch, the food was really good and my dad loves the food. Another reason was that, he is in the independent living now but if he gets to the point where he requires more care, the facility has contract employees that are in there that you can hire. The rooms are large and it got big nice windows in his bedroom. It's very light and very pleasant. He goes to bingo twice a week. They also have card playing, dominos, and other games that you can do. They provide entertainment on the weekends. They have people play the trombone or guitars. This place is all indoor corridors which I like a lot better. The dining facility is very nice. It looks like more like a dining room in a nice cruise ship.
