I'm currently in Holiday Copperfield Estates. I'm here for independent living. I like everything. The food is not bad; it could be better, but it's OK. I like the activities. The only thing I really don't like is they're bringing people in that I feel don't really need to be here. I understand they want them in a safe place. This is a very safe place and it's a nice place, but to me with their memory, they really should be in a different place. When my husband and I were here before, I didn't see all these people that had memory issues, but for the most part, I like it. We go out to the store on the bus and they're going to have more activities for us to do, maybe places to go and everything that the pandemic just kind of shut down. Hopefully, we'll get back to that. We have entertainers that come in, whether guitar or singers or piano players. It is a good place. I'm sure that every place has their hiccups a little bit. They need to screen the residents a little more. They have washers and dryers and I can do my laundry, which is good. This is all one building. We have three meals a day and you can order off a menu. I can't eat some of the food right now because I'm missing teeth, so it's hard to chew, but I make the best decisions that I can. The staff is great. They do good, everyone from the front office to the ladies that clean the rooms. They probably do the best they can with the food. The activities are pretty good. We're on our fourth activity director, but they left for other reasons. The activity director does a bang up job in trying to get us doing stuff and having stuff for us to do. There are games we can play. I've played dominoes with this one gentleman, and then we can watch TV down there. They have entertainers that come in. When I was here the last time before COVID, they had some little Girl Scouts that came in and they would sell their cookies and they'd have people come in selling jewelry or clothes or whatever. They do a good job at getting people in here whether to entertain us or whatever, because a lot of people can't get out to do stuff. We go on the bus to the store like Wal-Mart or Kroger. We do that every week and they'll take us to doctors' appointments if we need it and that type of thing. Things could be a little better, but for the most part, it's good. They should have some kind of security around here at night though. We wear these little call things that if we have an emergency, we can press it and somebody will come on from a dispatch station and say, "Do you need ambulance or police?" Nobody can get in the building unless you've got a card that they give you. If it's after hours, you can swipe that over the little silver thing on the brick post out there and it will open the door. It is a very good place to live.

My mother will be moving into Holiday Copperfield Estates. I liked it. The people were very personable and talked a lot. Almost all of them have a little balcony or a little porch, and it's just nice to have fresh air. That's what I liked about it. They have a large dining room. They serve them whatever they want on their menu. I talked with the director, and he's great. He'll answer all your questions, and he's very knowledgeable about everything. I also spoke with a therapist for rehabilitation and her care, and they were all so nice. They have services that you can pay for to help.

We liked Holiday Copperfield Estates. The cafeteria was nice because it was a large open area. There was also a private formal dining area for families. They had activities throughout the day. They had a laundry room. They can cook dinner or play games, sit down and have a conversation with somebody or go watch a movie. There were a lot of options. We liked the idea that they could come and go. It was more or less like an apartment, with just some oversight. The staff was very helpful and very knowledgeable, and she answered all of our questions.

After having reservations about my mother's ability to live here, their sales member assured me they would work with me. Now my mother has been hospitalized twice in the two weeks since she has been there, and Copperfield won't let us out of our lease. Now they have debited our bank account twice for the same month's rent. We are moving her ASAP! Don't trust the sales staff.

Copperfield Estates was excellent. The grounds were well-cared for. The person who toured me, Ryan, was extremely nice. He was pleasant, answered all my questions, and was very helpful. The rooms were about the same size as what I'm used to. They were also well cared for and seemed to be in good shape.

Copperfield Estates was nice and very comfortable. It felt like home. It was very warm and inviting. The people that worked there that I met were very professional. We looked at three different rooms. I liked all the rooms that we visited. They felt like home and it was very comfortable, very similar to what my parents have currently. They're more like a small apartment with a small kitchenette. It's very clean and very nice. They have different people come and do bingo, they have movie nights, and on the second floor, they have a place where they do physical therapy. It seems like they have lots of activities. It's easy enough to visit. We saw the exercise room, that was good, and they have a kitchen downstairs where you can cook your own meals if you'd like to. If you had somebody special, they had a private room in the cafeteria in case you wanted to dine privately, maybe if you had family come over or what have you. They provide three meals a day.

Copperfield Estates has good proximity to Houston, but it's just too far for me to go visit and help my mom with the needs that she needed. It was clean. The staff there was nice. I only saw one room, and it was OK. It was like a studio apartment. It was a little old. The paint could have been done a little bit better. They were doing repairs, but it still seemed kind of dated. They're not like the newer apartments or anything like that. The facility itself, like the dining room and everything like that, was very nicely done.

I toured Copperfield Estates and the people were very nice. I liked the fact that even though it's an independent living, they take care and handle the people from the beginning to all their needs without having to relocate. The person who gave us the tour was also great and they were very easy to work with. The rooms were fine. I think they had bingo and different things going on too. They said that they took their people on a cruise at one time, so that was pretty nice. The place was very clean and they were very professional. I have no complaints with Copperfield Estates. We were considering them very strongly.

If you are looking for a place don’t stop here. Keep looking. It’s good until you actually live here. No security at all and a bunch of lies!! Everything changes when you live here. Can’t wait to leave.

Once a week, I get my bed changed, bathroom cleaned, dusted and floor vacuumed. My food is brought to my room 3 times a day. In the afternoon, at 2:30 there is a snack tray out with drinks provided. The servers are very friendly and if we ask them for anything, they try to get it if possible.

I went to Copperfield Estates. I didn't like it, I found it to be very dated, I didn't think the dining room was very inviting, it didn't look homely or clean. The rooms themselves were nice, they're small which is expected, but the whole outlay wasn't meant for us. If I was old, I would not go there, this was too senior for me.

We visited Copperfield Estates, which was built and arranged with its sister community that we've also been to. The people there were extremely nice. We liked the apartment that we looked at. It was very nice. The dining room was pretty much set up like where I am now. I didn't think it was quite as pretty. We ate there, and it was also very nice food. I'm always very particular about food. They had an extremely nice staff, and the people there were very nice. When we ate there, some of them got up from their tables and introduced themselves. When I looked around the dining room, everyone was smiling and talking. Everyone seemed to be very happy, which means a lot. The staff was very friendly. It was a very clean and beautiful place. The person who helped us out during the tour was very nice, though she's not there anymore.

We visited Copperfield Estates. The tour was nice, but I didn't want to stay there too long because of the quarantine. I wanted to be safe and I wanted to keep others safe. It was short, but it was very nice, very detailed, and very informative. The people were very nice. I was able to see the sitting area, the dining area, and the common area. I was also able to see one of the apartments. The facility was very clean. It is an older community, but it is still inviting and well maintained.

I did a physical tour of Copperfield Estates. I loved the concept and the staff was great, but I was concerned the fact that it was not gated. It needed updating, but mostly the staff was friendly and they seemed to be well-organized. I just thought it needed a lot more updating and I didn't like the fact that there was not a gate. It's an open property. It was just a big open space. They told me that they had meals there, activities, and a huge common room, but I didn't get to see that. I met the chef and the staff was wonderful. When you walk in the door, it's kind of confusing. You're just sort of lost and that's maybe because they were cleaning that day or that's the way they do after meals, with this wide open space. When I went into the apartments, that the marketing director showed me, it just showed that it needs a lot of updating.

Copperfield Estates is a place that we can afford, and it's close to my brother. It was pretty easy to get around. The apartments were very nice. It was very clean, and it looked very well-kept. The staff seemed very nice and very helpful. Due to Covid, their dining room is closed, but they said that they bring menus to the residents. They can select their meals every morning, and their meals are brought to them. They've got laundry facility, hair salon, and activity rooms. It's a step-up for my mother from where she is living now.

Copperfield Estates was good. I had lunch with two delightful women, and we got to talk about the different activities there. The 1-bedroom apartment was nice, and it had a full kitchen with oven, microwave, and drawers. They had a library and a place to work out. The staff was good. The food was good. The building was nice.

Copperfield Estates was a nice facility, but it did not have a kitchen inside the apartment, and that was a no-go for my brother. The staff was excellent, and the dining area was fine. The rooms were very well-kept, very organized, and seemed to be well equipped. They had two separate entertainment areas with cards, TV, and a pool table in one location.

My dad had a hard time with the meal situation. I was told different times of the meals begin served and the literature on the place would give even a different time. If you were not at a table when the server came around you did not get served. They had around 40 tables and 2 servers that came around and did 2 tables at a time to take your order, go to the kitchen, get your order, server your order before they would move on to the next 2 tables. This would frustrated my dad. So if you want consistency on getting your meal you need to look somewhere else. I ate with my dad several times through out his stay. I got frustrated with the way they would serve their meals. 8:00 breakfast, 12:30 Dinner and 5:00 Supper. The overall place was nice.

We liked Copperfield Estates. It was very nice and open. The dining room area is very nice, there's an elevator, and it was a quiet place. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, they took us on a tour, and it was very informative. They have a bus to take the seniors to outings or to the store. You can also have a car there and they also have a little gym. It is a very nice place.

I visited Copperfield Estates. Their landscape was very nice, and the person who greeted me was extremely nice. It was a nice setup. Everything was pleasing to us, but it was too far for us. They have breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. They have activities like arts and crafts, and they even go on little shopping trips from time to time. They have a shuttle that would take us to our doctors’ appointments, but we would have to let them know ahead of time. We looked at a 1-bedroom and a 2-bedroom, and the 1-bedroom was fine, but I prefer to have a 2-bedroom. I think it would be a great place for a couple to live.

Copperfield Estates was beautiful and really nice, but my sister-in-law has to have more care than what they could offer. The room was spotless and very nice, but they said that they could not change her diapers. You have to be on your own to live there. We saw the activities room. They were making some kind of decoration and had a room just for that. They had a library where they could go and read. The residents were sitting down in a little lobby area and looked very happy.

Copperfield Estates is a more enclosed, smaller community, and the rooms that my mom could afford were too small. There weren't as many amenities; they didn't have a pool. The dining hall was accessible. You ate whatever you wanted, however much you wanted. It had the feeling of a group home.

Run, don't walk from this company. I made 1 phone call yesterday to ask a few questions, and now less than 24 hours later I've received 2 sales phone calls, 1 sales text and 1 sales email. It's like working with a used car salesman! All high pressure sales tactics. The facility can't be great if they are this aggressive with trying to get you to place a loved one there.

I had a brother-in-law at Cooperfield Estates for a little over a year, and I was really impressed with them. They served 20 meals a week, had laundry, and had a maid who came in once a week to clean for him at no extra cost. They had hairdressers and barbers came once a week if they wanted to have their hair done and a nice, big cafeteria. We ate with him a couple of times. I liked the food. It was nice, as far as I was concerned. They had an activity director. They would take them out in a van one or two days a week to go shopping, get groceries, or go to a doctor’s appointment. If they wanted to participate, they had activities on-site, like dancing, in two different activity rooms with big TVs and books. They had a nice library, too.

We visited Copperfield Estates a couple of times. At first, we were kind of interested, and then my wife was a little anxious on it. They showed us a two-bedroom, which was very nice, that had windows on both sides because it was on a corner and had a lot of light in it. For some reason or another, we were talked into signing a lease agreement and that was the worst mistake we’ve ever made in our lives. It’s not that they tricked us or anything as we did it ourselves, but we haven’t moved in. It was too far to walk to the dining room area. My wife had to go to the doctor the next day because of her knee; she had shots in her knee because it was almost half a mile to walk. We told them she can’t do that walking and so forth, but because we’ve signed the agreement, they said that we’re going to pay for it plus an initiation fee. That’s the weirdest thing I’ve heard in my life, but we signed it and we’re paying for it. We can’t afford that, but they don’t care. I wouldn’t stay there if they paid me to stay there. I didn’t realize people did things like that, especially to older people. They had a game room where they play checkers. I don’t do that and my wife doesn’t do board games or stuff like that. That’s the way they were in Copperfield. We could not rate them because we had such a bad feeling about them. I’m sure the people who live there and probably didn’t have to sign leases like that are very happy with what they’re doing. If they hadn’t done that to us, I might rate them quite high.

We found Copperfield Estates for my sister. They have studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. It doesn’t offer anything medical, so if you need medical, you have to hire that on top of everything else. The facility is very nice, though, with nice staff and excellent food. They have bingo, movies, card games, and lots of activities happening four or five times a day.

I visited Copperfield Estates. I could get a studio there that did not have a kitchen, but it was more than what I am paying now. To get a 1-bedroom was way out of my price range and it still didn't have a kitchen. I liked the girl there that I talked to. The main dining room was very nice, very well kept and very clean. The rooms were very clean and nice too.

Copperfield Estates is very accommodating. We had a nice lunch but nobody ever followed up with us. We kept thinking we could hear from the salesperson and nobody ever called us back. The staff is fine. The rooms are depressing; we were looking at a 1-bedroom. I thought the food was better than OK. The dining facilities are nice enough. The activities don't look very inviting. They’re mostly sedentary like bridge. It reminded me of a college dorm. There’s nothing outside going on. People like sitting outside in the sunshine or taking a walk. It looked like an institution to me. They would have to do a complete renovation of the rooms and have some facilities like some gazebos for people to sit around in outside. I talked with several residents; they were mostly women, and they were friendly enough, because they were all curious about why my sister and I were there. They were well enough, dressed casually but pretty nice.

We liked the space the facility has, the three meals a day. She loves her room. She loves the security and the fact that the managers lived there on the premises, next to her room, and that really is a huge, huge, huge plus.

I thought Copperfield was a very new place, very nice. The staff was really outstanding. We didn't eat the food, but we were there at mealtime and it looked very good. The only worry we had was because my in-laws were eighty nine and ninety years old, I think they were a little bit concerned about having to ride an elevator. The other thing was their rooms were way too small and that was my main concern. So far, those were the only negatives. I don't know if we're going to use them or not, but it is top two on our list.

This is an assisted living facility that I have visited. I take a group of students as volunteers. The staff here are knowledgeable and friendly. You can tell that they really enjoy working there. The residents there seemed well taken care of and happy. The facility is clean and looks new. I think the building is only a few years old. The only negative comment that I have about this is that the building is very close to West Road, which is a main road.
