Somerby Franklin is lovely, very welcoming, very attractive, and easy to access. The one disadvantage is that they do not have skilled nursing, so for someone who is looking for a life care community, they would not be a good choice. But the people were delightful, and the apartment that we saw was lovely. The amenities seemed to be fine. They are very similar to other assisted living communities in the area but very nice. We enjoyed our visit. We only saw one apartment, and it was furnished. It was a one-bedroom. It would have been difficult for me to accommodate my needs in that particular unit because it does not have a separate space for an office. It could have worked marginally, but beautiful space. It was a one-bedroom with a big closet, a nice sized bathroom, and a nice patio. This was on the first floor. It had a lovely kitchen, which is a big deal for me, I need to have a full kitchen, and this one was very nice. It would have been advantageous if they have had pullouts on the lower cabinets. When I built my house, I had pullout shelves made because older people have difficulty getting down on their knees and getting back up again, and to have a pullout shelf in the lower cabinets allows you to use all of the space, and that would be something that I think any assisted living place ought to include in their independent living space. The amenities were good. They had a pool, they had multiple activities, they had a dining room, and they had a snack bar place. I was not particularly interested in looking at any amenities other than a pool because I have a lot of outside interest now. So I'm not as concerned with whether they have card games or bridge games or that sort of thing during the week. They seemed to have a very good selection, but I didn't focus on that. The sales representative that we talked to was lovely. She was very responsive. I had sent a questionnaire in advance to answer some questions that are not addressed in brochure information, and she replied very quickly with very complete answers and was open to any comments that I made. She was a delightful lady to work with. The upkeep and maintenance looked good as far as I know. It was very attractive. It seemed to be clean. It looked very nice, it was clean, and seemed to be well cared for.

My mother lived at Somerby Franklin. It is brand new and like a 5-star hotel. It's beautiful, and they gave excellent care. I was very happy for my mom. They had lots of activities and made sure everyone was included and invited. It was the best of the best. The dining area was beautiful, and the bistro was excellent.

I visited Somerby Franklin and loved it. I loved the buildings and just everything about it. It was very updated and didn't seem like your traditional assisted living place. It has a hotel feel, and it's very nice. We wanted to try the food, but they didn't invite us. We chose another place because this one is out of our budget.

I visited Somerby Franklin, but it was too pricey for me. The appearance of the place was good overall. The apartment they showed me doesn't have a separate room for the bed; the bed is just in the room. The food was OK, and the dining are wasn't really anything but a lot of tables. They didn't have as many amenities as the other community I was in. They had activities like movies, going to tea, and things like that. They also had a library and a swimming pool for the residents.
