Our number two choice was Brookdale Dogwood Creek. It was extremely nice. They had well-laid-out walking trails. The staff was very helpful. She answered all of our questions. She went above and beyond to help us find a place. But we couldn't take it because it was too expensive. They had a book club, game nights, and a pub room where the guys could get together. The room that we wanted would have been perfect. It had a closed-in patio for our dogs and an attached garage, which you never find in an independent living community. The apartment was smaller than the one we have now, but it was still a two-bedroom and two-bath.

Brookdale Dogwood Creek was very nice, except the floors or the carpet were not very clean. I didn't like places that were not very clean. The staff members seem to know their job description. It seemed to be well-thought of and I thought the amenities were a nice variety. I like the looks or appearance of the outside, and other things they had to offer like outings, taking you places, and having the place for Sunday worship, and the amphitheater. I think the rooms were small and the closets too were kind of small. It was located in a good place for our children to get to and visit. It was just a good location.

I went to Brookdale Dogwood Creek. I was very pleased with it. They were very friendly, it was very clean, and they gave me a very nice tour. I saw everything. They sent out information to my mom. That's the one I will take my mom to see. The independent living has a full kitchen, it's carpeted, and I thought it was very, very nice. They actually have food trucks that come on Fridays. They have different, parties like they were getting ready for a Memorial Day grill party out on the patio. They took field trips with the residents. They took them to Kroger, Walgreens, Walmart, and Dollar Tree by bus. They would have field trips, like to go to the zoo or a museum. It was hard because they're just coming off of COVID restrictions, so they didn't have a lot of things scheduled. She ended up telling me kind of what they had done in the past, so I was able to gauge what the activities would be according to what they had been before. It was very upscale, very friendly, and very clean, and the furnishings were lovely and very welcoming.

Brookdale Dogwood Creek is probably the best of all the places I visited. It was clean, comfortable and upscale. The person who helped me was good and very professional. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. They had card games and bingo.

I went to Brookdale Dogwood Creek, and it was a good visit. They had classes, exercises, rehab, shopping, field trips, and music. The apartments were very state-of-the-art, modern, very efficient, and nice to live in. I only met the sales person, and she was superior.

Brookdale Dogwood Creek was very nice, but not all meals are included. Only so many meals per month are included and it's a bit more expensive. The dining room was very nice. They had a workout room and pool.

Brookdale Dogwood Creek is a pretty nice place, but it's more like a hotel to me. You take an elevator up to your room and go down the halls like hotel rooms. I didn't like that at all. They had a lovely dining room and lovely areas to sit in, but everything was kind of segregated. It didn't have a warm communal feeling about it. It's like a high-rise apartment building without a feeling of home or freedom. The people were nice and friendly. The food was good and the dining area was lovely. My friend's room is small but adequate. It's an attractive building, but I would never want to live in a high rise.
