My tour at Wildewood Downs was very good. The staff I talked to was the sales girl, and she was very nice. The facility itself was good, but it's lacking because it doesn't have a swimming pool. I thought their dining area was ok, and they have lovely grounds.

I like that Wildewood Downs is in my neighborhood. I didn't want to be out of the neighborhood because it's close to the stores I'm familiar with like the grocery stores and the malls. I like the marketing people. They have several plans that you can choose from and if you don't want to put all your savings into it, then pick something less expensive. They have a villa or a house by themselves. It doesn't make sense for me to move out of my house into another house, but I think it's great. They had wide-open spaces. You have a place to breathe and to walk. It is a nice place. I only met a couple of people in the cafeteria, but the marketing person was just nice. Once I decided that's worth looking into, they pampered me like crazy and I told them not to do that. Just because they want to bring me a sandwich or salads or dessert or whatever, that's not what I'm basing my decision on. I don't want somebody treating me special or bringing me dinner or dessert for me to go there while I'm still here in my house. I realize they have to do extra things so the person will decide to go there, but I'm too smart for that. The food was very delicious though. If you get an apartment, there's only one door to the outside. If you come from a home with a beautiful yard and a beautiful home, you want to get the quickest way to go outside. I'm not a "stay inside" person; I like to be outside. I'm probably 96% sure that's where I want to go. I like them the best so far.

We chose Wildewood Downs for my husband, and we have to move in in 90 days. We were very impressed. We liked the whole place. It had gorgeous landscaping outside, and everything that we would be interested in on the first floor where our apartment is. We don't have to go anywhere, except the first floor. Everyone was extremely friendly. The menu looks like a very expensive restaurant. They have an art room and a card room. They have things that they put on or all week or month long that you can take part of. Really, you could do anything you want there. We saw people playing cards, and we saw them working in the art room.

We went to Wildewood Downs. It was fabulous. The staff was excellent. I liked the facade, we were looking for independent quarters, and they had independent housing. It was very well done. Their assisted living was well done, and they were renovating everything. It was in complete renovation, and it was being beautifully done. They're probably better, probably a little bit more than we're looking for, but the deciding factor was proximity of family.

My association with Wildewood Downs began when my mother came in 2004 to live in a spacious two bedroom apartment and later in assisted living. She loved it here for seven years. It could be said that I am a cheerleader for Wildewood Downs. Starting with the wonderful people creating a family-like atmosphere, to the superior leadership and staff that provides an active social and fitness calendar, one can find something of interest to do. Before I moved to Wildewood Downs, I was in rehab here twice and had an excellent experience. Wildewood Downs has been my home since March of 2016. I live in Independent Living and have a duplex with two car garage and screened porch. My husband was with me when we moved here. We had wonderful time until his passing in July, 2017. I only mention this to point out that the community here is so helpful and supportive during a time of loss. I am a strong believer in the benefits to the emotional and mental sharpness of seniors living in a senior community. I have never regretted moving here. I love it.

I went to Wildewood Downs for a tour. It was a wonderful visit, I couldn't ask for better. They've got a variety of floorplans, cottages, and apartments, and they've got just about anything you want. The staff I met was very, very good. Everything I saw was very well decorated and spotless. All the units I visited were very clean, very well-planned, they're just very good. I went into one of the apartments, I went into a two-bedroom home, a three-bedroom place, and the place where they have the dining area and activities. I ate there, it was excellent, and the people I ate with said it was very good. My friend that lives there said she loves it. The service was really good and the dining room was fine.

I chose Wildewood Downs because they have cottages. The staff is extremely helpful. The dining area is very attractive. They have a fitness center, a putting green within the complex, and several scheduled Bridge games. It's a very friendly and vibrant community. They have apartments as well.

I love my Garden Home. I am age 77. I enjoy plenty of space in 1,500 square feet. My home has 2 spacious bedrooms, an office, kitchen, 2 baths, dining room, living room, and a Carolina room. I enjoy my yard as well. I care for 5 rose bushes, pretty grass, and bird feeders. I enjoy a great space to ride my bike and play golf. The grounds are well kept and everyone has a golf cart. The meals are very nice and the friend are what we do best.
