Harmony at West Ashley was very welcoming and very friendly. The apartments were terrific. They're the best value that I found of the various facilities I toured. The dining area was attractive and the food was good. There were two choices for each meal. The grounds were very lovely. The back of the building has a nice view of the South Carolina marshes.

I toured Harmony at West Ashley. I liked everything except, that they did not include all meals, just two meals a day. Everyone on the staff that I talked to was very helpful, the one showing us around was very informed, she knew everything. It was a very clean and nice place. They had good amenities. But there was a lot of stuff you paid extra for, which was one of the things I didn't like. They had a pool, games, a card room, they had a courtyard, and they had a nice place for dogs. It was a pretty place.

I toured Harmony at West Ashley. It was very nice. The people were very nice there. The whole place is quite nice, and the apartments are nice. It's relatively new, so I think that some of the apartments have not been lived in yet. This is a major big decision for me, and that's the issue and not the place. But I thought the place was very nice, and the people were lovely. They have a lot of activities over there, which is a real plus. They have people playing bridge, and I play a lot of bridge. They have happy hour in the evenings. It has a lot of things for people to interact and do things together, which is quite nice. But you have your own apartment, so you don't have to do it if you don't want to. It's a huge place and lots of different things. The apartments are outstanding.

We went to the Harmony at West Ashley. I liked everything about this place. It's clean. It has a lot of natural light, and it's very well-equipped. It's so full of attention from the people who work there. There are a lot of the facilities where people can gather together and play, including a movie theater. It is a very good one.
The staff was very attentive. They did introduce us to every possible aspect of living there, and they discussed things with us. It was very good. It's very convenient to use everything and gives you a possibility for independent living. They have two libraries. They have two places for playing cards. They have courtyards. They have a bistro, and they have a salon. They have a lot of things for people living independently.

My parents will be moving to Harmony of West Ashley. The facility is very nice. It's pretty new, like four years old, and everything is good. My parents like the place, everything is clean and organized. One meal a day is included with the basic rent, and you can buy an additional meal if you want. The apartment has a full kitchen, so they're just going to do breakfast in their apartment and one meal should be good for them. They provide transportation to their doctors, a lot of activities, and transportation to shopping.

My mother lives at Harmony at West Ashley. I feel because the residents are elderly, they are not taken seriously and their needs often overlooked; one area involves food service. My mother pays a premium rent in order to have meals made for her. The food is absolutely disgusting. I went to a family event and literally could not eat the dinner served. I came home to eat later. They clearly cut costs with food using cheaper cuts of meat, no spice, using leftovers for the next day, etc. My mother described meatloaf as a hunk of dense meat with nothing else. The community there have tried and tried to get more quality in regards to food but to no response from administrators or corporate management. They just don’t care, which is a shame because the food was so good when this place first opened. Luckily she enjoys the people and some other social events. But food is a big part of all our lives and should be an important aspect especially to an elderly community who look forward to a good meal. They have had meeting upon meetings but nothing changes.

I'm in the independent living right now at Harmony at West Ashley, but I'll be moving into the assisted living at the end of this week. I like it enough that I am staying in the same place and just moving over to the assisted living from independent living. It's pretty active, and I like the other independent living people. I like everything except the food; it is horrible and continues to be. They have had a difficult time with the staff since the pandemic. They did not seem to before, but they do now. The professional people seem OK. The building is beautiful, gorgeous, and well kept. They have activities like regular exercises, scenic tours, card games, pool games, and happy hour twice a week, where they supply the alcohol. It is very different since the pandemic, but they still do activities -- they just don't do them in the same way.

Rooms are spacious, well designed and allow for adequate daylight. Several one and two bedroom floor plans are available HVAC maintains a comfortable environment. Kitchen and Laundry appliances are acceptable.
Everyone on the Leadership Team and their assistants are without a doubt professional, warm, kind, helpful and willing to go the extra mile to keep the residents happy.
The Dining Room Employees are helpful and pleasant. It is obvious that they love what they do, in spite of long hours and occasional week-ends.
We consider our fellow residents to be the major attribute of Harmony at West Ashley.
We have made more new friends than ever before in our lives. We couldn't have asked for a better group to live with.
There are enough activities to please everyone, be it physical games, card games, fitness activities, intellectual discussion groups, book club, knitting group, art lessons, and flower arranging to name a few. There are weekly tours to points of interest close by, as well as shopping trips. There is a profession therapy group on site. We feel the only amenity missing is an indoor pool.
The Activities Staff does an outstanding job arranging semi-monthly parties, both theme and celebration. Their daily (6 days a week) Happy Hour is a great way to get to know your neighbors and welcome new residents.
We have made more new friends and stay involve.d in daily happenings
Moving into Harmony Independent Living. was definitely one the best decisions we've made. Now our three sons will never have to decide "where are we going to put Mom & Dad"for their golden years.

The Crossings at West Ashley has assisted living, independent living, and memory care. I'm in independent and like it very much. I'm from that area and a lot of my friends were there. It's a beautiful place. It's important to have all the independent living residents together. At this place, it was supposed to be independent living totally, but it was not, so it's very frustrating. It's a new place and that's only been opened since August. I was very impressed with how they facilitated the evacuation because I used to do that and I know how difficult it is. They only offer one meal a day with your rent and that's lunch, but they do have a small area where they have soups and salads and happy hour every afternoon at 4. So far, the meals have been very good. I have a beautiful room with 10-foot ceilings, beautiful views, and sunrooms on one side and sun porches on the other. It's the biggest kitchen I've ever had, and each apartment has a washer and dryer.
