I chose Riddle Village LifeCare Retirement Community because they were more active there. They were very pleasant, there were lots of staff, and they seemed to be outgoing. I tried the food, and it was very good. They had a pool, gym, lounge, arts and crafts, and library. Excellent upkeep and cleanliness. It's all been refurbished, and it looked like it's pretty new.

I went to Riddle Village LifeCare Retirement Community. They have several units with different-sized living rooms. They have a larger living room, which is what I was looking at. It's a 22-foot living room. They have one and two-bedroom apartments, and both of those rooms were good sized. The kitchen was like a galley kitchen, but it's adequate and they have a counter where you could put your plates on. The kitchen is part of the room and then you have the living room. The staff was very nice, from the receptionist down. I even met the cook there. I looked at both independent living and the assisted living, and both of them will meet my needs.
They have plenty of amenities. I like their library. They have a theater, a beauty shop where you can get your hair done, a gym, and a swimming pool. If you get one of the deluxe apartments, you can get indoor parking. They have a storage area where you can store things. They have a place for the doctors and nurses to come in to see you. They have several dining areas where you're seated as if you're going to a restaurant. You have someone that will sit you at the table. I didn't see that because of the pandemic and everybody was eating in their room. They had several dining options. They had a roofed outdoor place where you can have friends or you can go with other guests and sit on the deck. They had nice wood floors. The building was well kept. They have been there for a while.
