We visited Harrison House Chester County and my sister liked that. We saw four different one-bedroom apartments and they were all very nice and very updated. The tour was great. Meals are not included in the rent, but that's OK because you can take them or you don't have to and it's only $7 a meal. Their dining room was also updated and very nice. On each floor, they had the library just close to where the individual apartments were and parking in the back. It was very nice.

We will probably go with Harrison House Chester County. It was very nice, clean, and the residents seem very happy. It's lively. It has a wide range of people that they serve from independent to obviously those who need more help. It's a place where they can grow. They can stay and get the care they need as they go.
The rooms we saw were very spacious and large 1-bedroom apatments. They were very nice. My dad will be in what they call Independent Plus, which means independent in which he could have a little care. If he ever needed more care, he could get it.
They have activities for the people. They have nice gardens, nice cafeterias, food, and meals for them. They have a beautiful gym to workout in. They have a lot of stuff. The dining area was beautiful. Everything is brand new. It's all redone, so it looks great. From what I can see, they have a healthy menu.
The person who gave the tour was wonderful. She had grown up through the system and started as a young girl there, and now became a nurse. So I feel like I can trust her more. She's not just a salesperson because she knows what's needed, and she's been a hands on person.

I went to Harrison House Chester County. They were friendly, informative, and nice people. I remember seeing one apartment, but I frankly thought it was quite small. There actually was a bingo tournament going on when we were there. It was basically an apartment building. Other than a small eating area in the main lobby, there was nothing of any consequence; that's why we declined. It was clean and well maintained. I was not impressed with the staff at all.
