My overall tour experience with Holiday Gresham Manor was very good. We have eaten there twice and we're eating there again tomorrow. The amenities were adequate. The rooms were excellent. The gentleman that I've been dealing with has been very responsive. He has done a very good job. The room that we looked into was a two-bedroom, which is what I need, and it was very nice. The food was excellent. The place doesn't smell like a nursing home, so that's good.

The tour I had at Holiday Gresham Manor was great. The staff was amazing. Bradley was the one whom I spoke with and he was very nice. The updated units looked beautiful. I love the fact that they wash the towels, and the sheets, and change the bed. That is a definite plus in my mind. Their prices were good. I just wish the refrigerators were a tad bit bigger. They're more like a mini fridge, which I suppose isn't a bad thing for others, but when I'm moving someone in from a house, having a full-size fridge would be an easier transition. Another thing was I wish the meals were less rigid and not on the nose. Like if you came down an hour into the meal, then you could still get a meal. When talking about activities, there were certain days that they'd go for grocery trips or to doctor trips. They're still remodeling the place, which includes having a theater room in the future (they don't have one as of yet).

Holiday Gresham Manor is nice. The landscape is beautiful. The inside of the building is like you were in a mansion. It's very beautiful and the residents are very nice. Their food looks good and they're very respectful to my dad in helping him get around as he doesn't see too well anymore. Diana is a very wonderful person. She spent all of her time with me all day trying to explain to me everything about what they offered and everything that it could do for my father. She was very helpful. The first price she gave me was $2100, and when I told her about my dad's situation, she came back to me the next day and told me that they could let him rent the apartment for $1975 instead of $2175, which was a big saving for him. All they would charge you is $5 to have somebody bring food to your door or to do your laundry or clean your room for another $5. So that was like $10 more a month instead of every time. They're always very kind to me. When I walk into the building, they greet me and they always want to see my vaccine shots to make sure I've been updated, which is great. They want to make sure that I'm not going in and getting other older seniors sick, because of the virus or anything like that. None of the other places ask us if we had our vaccines done or not. There are game rooms, another room where they can watch TV, and transportation to grocery shopping three times a week with no extra charge. They also take them out on field trips to the beach or the casino (with no extra charge again). It's all included in the price that they paid, which nobody else even offers that kind of stuff. It is very well worth it. If anybody's looking for a place for their loved ones, that would be an awesome place for them.

I didn't see as many people walking around Gresham Manor as I did with the other facility I toured. They have 3 floors and we looked at two rooms there. One of them was being remodeled and it was on the third floor. My wife and I liked that over the other one, which was on the second floor. It had a warning sign and had a big tree off of it. You could sit and watch the squirrels in there. It had a little balcony out there too so you can hang your hummingbird feeders and put a couple of chairs out there. The room was smaller than the other one though. I looked at the menu and the food is pretty comparable to the other places. Of the few people I talked to, nobody had anything bad to say about the place. The place was clean and everybody we talked to from the staff was friendly. The person who gave us the tour was just temporary. She was from another place and she had to go there yesterday because they were short-handed. She didn't know a lot about some of the particulars there and she kept apologizing for it but it was no big deal. She worked for the company but in a different location out in Beaverton. I talked to one of the staff when we were looking at that one room on the third floor. She was one of those staff that does the cleaning and she said they get your place cleaned once a day. All the places there and all the rooms were clean. Everybody just decorated their doors or little entryway there and the hallways so it's all nice and dusted. The yard was nice, the flowers and bushes were all trimmed, and there was no garbage lying around. There's a lot of stuff for activities there. They have a bus and I think last Monday they went to one of the casinos. They also help get you to a doctor's appointment or dentist appointments, and shopping. There's a lot of stuff for activities inside there too. You can play chess, do puzzles, do dance classes, and do exercise classes. On the third floor, they have a little basketball area where you can shoot a basketball. It was cool, they even have pool tables up there so if you're into that stuff, you're going to be very busy.

I liked Gresham Manor's independent living, but the rooms didn't have a kitchen. They were very small too. Kevin was really nice. He was very informative and showed us all around. He showed us a 1-bedroom, and it was small. It just wasn't big enough for my husband and me. They have bigger rooms, but they didn't have one to show us during the tour. The room we saw was under 500 square feet, and it just wasn't big enough. It didn't have a kitchenette or anything. Everybody went down to the restaurant to eat. It had a little kitchenette with cupboards and things like that, but you couldn't cook or anything. The facility was really roomy, and they had a really nice exercise room. Their activities are also planned, so it seemed like a nice place. They say that when the rooms are vacated, they're going to be redoing the rooms and updating them this year. They told me that if they will have a larger room (about 600 square feet) that they would call me so I could come look at it.

My mother moved into Gresham Manor. She's fairly new. She hasn't gone to the dining room very much, but all the employees have been very nice, accommodating, understanding, and trying to get her more incorporated into the community. They've been very accommodating in giving what she needs, and we haven't had any major issues. The cleaning lady is fantastic. She came in and introduced herself. She gave us what the specifications are, what she's gonna do, and that's been fantastic. The size of her apartment is good for her. I've had a little bit of a problem with the door because they close shut. Sometimes it's difficult when you are in a mobility scooter, to get it open and have it stay open. I don't know what to do about that. The doors are a little bit weird. Their activity room has an area where you can go down and cook. I think in the dining room they have a dining table, and you can all sit at it. I think that seems very neat.

I liked Gresham Manor. I liked it a lot, and I liked the inside, the only thing that is a question to me is you have to take the elevator up to the 2nd floor to have your dinner and all that. I have a scooter that I could use, but I just like everything down on the lower level. It's really on my interest, that place is, and as far as the tour, I thought it was great because one of the guys that works there did not show us, the other one didn't work that day, but the other person was very, very nice, and good. He took us to all the floors, my daughter was with me, and took us around pointing everything out, and explained everything, so I was very impressed with that tour. They have a lot of outdoor stuff, with flowers, and a lot of room to walk and roam around in, sit out there in the gardens and so I liked it.

Our experience with Gresham Manor has been wonderful. My aunt has been warmly welcomed by residents and the staff. The place is lovely and she's very happy with her room. The bathroom is large and has a walk-in shower. The food is delicious. The people are meeting all her needs as a new resident. She's in a studio, but there are also 1 and 2-bedroom apartments. They have free wi-fi and cable TV and 3 meals a day by a very good chef. They have a bus for transportation, stretching classes, exercise classes, card group, exercise machines, beauty salon, and a courtyard.

I liked Gresham Manor, it was good, but my mother couldn't get the room she preferred. She preferred being on the first floor, the same floor as the dining hall, and she doesn't like elevators. The menu looked better to me, but we did not eat there, and this is a little distance for us. It was our second choice.

We liked the amenities at Gresham Manor and the food was fantastic compared to what we had at other places. I really liked Kevin, the staff. He was very down-to-earth and very helpful in some of the stuff and explained the amenities really well. He showed us several apartments and he was really gracious and we really enjoyed him. We liked the size of the apartment, the amenities were more but the cost was less than the other places. They do cleaning twice a week to make sure that the place was clean. They have three meals a day and there are snacks around. They have buses that go out on Wednesdays and do different things, so you are able to go to the bank or your appointments with their provided service. We watched the residents Wii Bowling, they had a computer room, and mom won't be cooking or cleaning or any of that. I tried a meal and it was very good. I also thought that the layout is pretty good because there's less walking for the residents.

My friend is in Gresham Manor. We played Pinochle and had food over there. They had activities. I've been in their lounge and the residents seemed pretty happy. The staff is very nice and very helpful. I don't like the food setup because you have to sit down and you order one thing at a time. She was in the chapel when I went, and she's pretty happy there. Parking was quite a ways to walk, and they have very little parking for visitors. There's no yard or anything. She has a little patio and Chihuahua, but there is no place to go out and sit and watch the day go by.

Gresham Manor was very clean and the people were wonderful. The dining area looked clean and the food was good. They have activities when I was there like seniors putting puzzles together, and some residents were watching TV. The person who gave me the tour was very nice, knowledgeable, and explained the whole thing.

Gresham Manor was very comfortable, well kept-up, and very well staffed. The staff who toured me around was knowledgeable, she told me the things that were offered, and what I can do for myself if I wanted to. I'm pleased with it. They have a training room for exercise, and they have card games, pool, and Wii.

Gresham was very good. I was treated well by Brandy who gave us the tour. I intend to go back and sample the food we were offered. It was clean, well-kept, and well represented. I think my parents would do well.

This used to be a wonderful place. My parents spent a couple of very happy years here. It is under new ownership and they've moved the managers off site. Thy no longer live in. There is no longer 24 hour security. They've been given a pendant to wear around their neck instead to call for help in the night. It's a very old building and corporate has stated there will be no more money being invested in updating. Corporate no longer cares about the care and safety of its residents. It costs a tremendous amount of money each month for so little they are now receiving. Think very carefully before putting your loved one in this facility.

Gresham Manor is great. All the staff was awesome and very nice to her. She stayed for a couple of nights and enjoyed most of it. She is a little picky about food because she is diabetic; she is saying some of it were a little too salty. They have lots of different activities, various clubs that they can go to, movie nights, cards, games, and gatherings -- whatever you want.

We went and visited Gresham Manor. We actually put a deposit down to rent a room. Then, my mom ended up back in the hospital and had to stay in an extended-care facility. Gresham Manor was really nice. When we had put the deposit down, the obligation had been for three months. They actually refunded everything to us because it was obvious that the place was not going to be a good fit for her. My mom had loved the place when we had taken her to see it. However, we would have had to get all kinds of outside contractors to come in to bathe her and do all kinds of stuff. Gresham Manor was wonderful, and they were concerned. It looked really nice. My mom had picked out a pretty nice room with a little balcony. I had liked their rooms better than the other places that I had visited. The staff was wonderful, especially the live-in manager. They had activities. They had a room where you could re-pot your plants and so forth. They had a game room and an exercise room. They had a library. Plus, they had a wonderful, big dining hall that had the view of the lights of Portland. I think the people would choose their food off of a menu. When we had gone there, we had seen people playing games and doing things. Based on the way that they had treated us (and in reality, they did not have to), the fact that they had refunded our money, and so forth, I would give them high marks. It was just unbelievable that they would go an extra mile for us.

Some of the staff was nice enough, but some weren’t all that nice and acted like they weren’t really thrilled to be there. I didn’t tour but asked for either drawings or pictures of the different apartments. That’s how I looked at them first, and then I would compare them. Gresham had rather small apartments and a limited choice of the types of apartments you could live in. They could improve on the food.

Had a meal and a tour. Favorably impressed. I don't think you'll really know until you live there for awhile. The only review I read was very negative.

Our visit at Gresham Manor came out to be a very nice experience, but it was just a place that turned out to be too small for us. They were very gracious. I would just rate them low because it's not a good fit for us.

I moved into Gresham Manor a month ago. It's a great place, and it only cost me $50 more a month than the foster care I was in, which was horrible compared to this. This is like a resort. I checked out the place, and it had exactly what I needed, a one-bedroom apartment with enough room to put my stuff in, my own bathroom and my own kitchen. They have a nice dining facility on the second floor, and I'm just on the third floor, which is really nice. It gives you everything you need. This place has nurses available right down the hall from me about 100 feet away. If anything happens, they can come and check me out and make sure if I needed ambulance or needed to go to the hospital. They can do an evaluation on the spot to give you what you need. It's a really nice place, and they're just very caring and friendly. The people are pretty nice, and it's really an amazing place. The transition was a little hard on me, from being in a foster care to taking care of my own stuff a lot, but I've gotten used to it. It's been over 30 days, and I'm doing great now. I don't feel bad at all. This is like heaven compared to what I was in.

Gresham Manor was a very nice retirement place. They answered all my inquiries, and I got follow-up calls from them. I just didn't go there because it wasn't affordable for me.

I think Gresham Manor would be a good place to live. It’s an older building; they’re upgrading some things. It’s a little far for me and my family, but other than that, I would recommend it.

Horrible experience at this sight. The live-in managers were very rude and complained about times when my parents needed help.

Gresham Manor is the best I have seen. The managers and the entire staff really care about the residents here. I was very impressed with the low costs and the clean upscale atmosphere. From what I have seen and the people who I know have lived there it is great.
