I toured The Bridge Retirement and Assisted Living. I had to wait about 20 minutes for the tour. There was nobody at the desk, which, in this day and age, anybody could have just walked in, and that's scary. Right off the bat, I wouldn't put my friends or relatives in there. The rooms were nice. They were well-kept, and they were doing improvements. The staff was fine. She showed me everything I needed to see. She was very pleasant and patient. However, the rooms were small, especially for the price. It would be hard to move someone from their own house into those tiny rooms. They didn't have a whole lot in terms of amenities or activities. They had a calendar with some events, but it was nothing spectacular. It just did not impress me.

We visited The Bridge Retirement and Assisted Living. They were very nice, very accommodating, very polite, and very understanding. The place is clean. There seems to be a lot of rooms. It had an ambiance of cheerfulness, helpfulness, and light. It was nice. I would live there if I had to. The staff member who gave the tour was very informative and kind.

I did a tour of The Bridge Retirement and Assisted Living. It wasn't as clean, and the people didn't seem as friendly. We just didn't have a good feeling there at all. We didn't think that it would be for us or my sister. The rooms that we looked at needed a needed cleaning. They have a washer and dryer for the people that are in each apartment. We looked at a one-bedroom and a studio. The one bedroom was okay, the size was fine, but it needed cleaning. It hadn't been cleaned yet by the last people that lived there. But the studio would be the one that we would be looking at. it was small, but it was doable as far as that goes. It needed some work, but it had a refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer. we just weren't satisfied with that place at all, it was more money than the other facility. I didn't feel that the staff knew a whole lot about what she was doing. She's the receptionist at the desk. I didn't think she knew a whole lot about the facility itself as far as the living apartments and stuff, but she showed them to us. They have a lot of activities and amenities and a full calendar. You can do bingo or whatever, and they have tours you can take from the facility. They will take you to your doctor's appointments and stuff like that, but only on Mondays. If you have a doctor's appointment on another day, then you've got to find transportation. You're only allowed one meal a day at that place, you have to pay for your meals. Either go out and have your meals, or you can pay for a meal at that place. The dining area looks nice. It was clean, and there were a few people when we were there, that was about dinnertime. The facility needed a lot of work. Some maintenance really needed to be done and things.

I went and toured The Bridge Retirement and Assisted Living. The apartments were very nice sized. I thought the layout was reasonable. I was not aware of any activities on the independent living side. And the person who assisted me just provided me with a handout on the prices, not a full packet with menus, activities, and a contract. I saw the dining area. They had already begun to decorate for Halloween. The decorating is fine, but I thought it was overdone. Generally, the community was OK, but if you're going to have someone meeting potential clients, you need to be ready to be able to sit down, ask them questions, and provide them with a copy of contract information, and not just kind of a quick tour. The building itself was fine. The rooms were pretty well kept. Many of the facilities are behind on general maintenance like overgrown trees that are blocking the views from patios or balconies. The staff doesn't look professional. There was a security system for the door and there was only about every 12-hour walkthrough to make sure people were okay. They're independent living, but they're not invited to meals in the other building unless you pay for them. They didn't provide a list of activities or what their schedules were. What I saw was a bunch of residents congregating near the entrance as though they were looking for a form of entertainment, 'Who's coming in? Who's going out?' rather than waiting for an activity to load up on a bus and go do. The apartment itself looked pretty gosh darn good. But their young staff need to look more professional and behave professionally. The only community space that I saw was the dining area and that's because the person who met me to show me around looked like she was trying to multitask too much, and that's not necessarily her fault. I thought the dining area was cluttered with decorations.

It was a very nice place; it was very family oriented. The rooms and apartments were very nice. They had good-sized studios and one bedrooms, and I liked it a lot. They had all kinds of activities going on, games, bingo, crafts, and exercise. They were very friendly, loving, and very caring. I felt just very comfortable. I did talk to the lady in charge of the cafeteria, and she was wonderful. She sits down with all of the new people and finds out what their likes and dislikes are and if they're talkative or not, but if they're not talkative, she doesn't sit them with somebody that talks a lot. They are just really wonderful.
