My mother is in Green Country Village. It has a really good staff, and it's set up well. It's a pretty large community. They have morning, noon, and evening dining. The evening and the noon dining is waited on like dining tables with waitstaff, which my mother likes. They have a lot of activities. They have a caring staff and they pay attention to the residents. They have a resident council that can kind of give them feedback on what they would like to see as far as activities or even food served. They seem to be very open to that and willing to give their residents what they're looking for. They have regular apartments. They have studios, singles, doubles, and they've even combined a couple like torn down a wall to make a rather large apartment for a couple of residents in the past, so they can pretty much accommodate what anybody might be looking for. I'm not exactly certain what the studio apartment has, but all the others have kitchens and baths. They had kind of a staff shortage there during Covid for a little bit, but other than that, the food has always been very good. They put fresh flowers on the tables in the dining area. One of the resident services directors would buy flowers in bulk and have the residents help with the flower arrangements. They have an onsite chapel, an onsite convenience store, and a pond outback. They have a walking group that goes around the pond a couple of times a week. They had outside gardening last year. They had raised beds where the residents could choose what they wanted to plant in them. They had a salon onsite, a clubroom, a large living room where they have birthday celebrations and holiday celebrations, drum exercise class, other exercise classes, Wii bowling, and sometimes just entertainment. They have people come in and entertain, sing and play the piano and musical instruments. They have bingo, they have a loft where they have jigsaw puzzles and they have a craft room where they can bake also. It is very well kept up with seasonal decorations like for the holidays. They have a state-of-the-art van for transporting the residents. My mother had a leak in her shower and you just put a work order and the maintenance crew comes and addresses the problem pretty quickly. It's one of the better values. I don't know really what the cost of the other facilities is in Bartlesville. They do a lot of things that it's hard to put a price tag on and they're competitive in pricing with others. It checks all the boxes for her. It is an older building. There's only so much they can do. There's a lot of things I wish they could add like ceiling fans and heaters in the bathrooms, but they just can't because it's not structurally feasible to go in and make those kinds of changes. When they're fully staffed, they have a very fun set of people that provide their activities, and they're very good at helping the residents remember to go to their activities even though that's not something independent living really should do. They know the residents, so they're constantly communicating with them. They take the time to know the residents.
