We moved into Longview, an Ithacare Community. We love it here. Everyone here, from maintenance to the CEO, is friendly, helpful, and available.
They offer a lot of activities, but I haven't participated in anything. I get a weekly newsletter and there's just all kinds of things like jigsaw puzzles and movies. They also have a chorus and a quilting group. There's an affiliation with a Longview College and we can take courses over there up to nine credits for free. Our apartment is just really lovely. It is spacious and comfortable. There's a washing machine and dryer right here. The bedroom is a nice size, and we have a nice, large master bathroom. We have a good size extra bathroom and a good size second bedroom.
There's a library, a movie theater, a little store that's open certain days for certain hours, and you can get things like postcards, Kleenex, pens, and pencils. The library is well-maintained, with a good variety of fiction and non-fiction books, magazines, and the daily newspaper is available there, too.

As a resident of Longview for almost three years now, I wanted to talk about how I feel about living here. I am very pleased that I made the decision to move here. I really like the activities that I can be a part of, as well as being able to interact with the other residents who are living here as well. It is great to be able to share my life with other people. I enjoy the food that is served in the dining room and I am so pleased that I am able to participate at Ithaca College who is a partner with Longview. Working with the staff has really been great. In addition to what happens at Longview, I am able to participate in the activities of Ithaca helps immensely. I definitely would recommend moving to Longview and becoming a resident of a very good senior community. I strongly recommend that you come here yourself and see what I am talking about. I hope to see you become a part of Longview in the future.
