There is nothing more scary than transitioning a parent to an assisted living. The Atria made that transition joyful and stress free. The feeling of "family" is felt the minute you move in. The grounds of the facility and staff are warm, efficient and reliable. Having residents together for dining and socialization is integral especially for their "golden" years. The activities are ongoing where all residents can participate. There are educational classes, cooking, book clubs, a theatre and celebrating during the holidays. The cleanliness of the Atria is second to none. The landscaping is beautiful no matter the season. The meeting room has a fireplace and kitchen, makes it feel like home. The piece of mind my family has is what helps us to sleep at night My mom is safe and very well cared for. Making this decision was far easier when my family thought it would be. If you're looking for a home for a parent, we are so glad we choose the Atria of Glen Cove.

I'm a current resident of Atria Glen Cove. The help is wonderful, the food is just passable, and the accommodations are good. The staff is wonderful. They help each other and they help us. They're very pleasant and they do their job. They have activities like exercises, games and movies. My room is fine. I'm up on the fifth floor and it was very nice looking out. I have very little for lunch and my big meal is my breakfast. My food is fine, but everybody leaves food, so when you're leaving food, that's not a good sign.

My mother-in-law has already been placed at Atria. It's three-quarters independent, one-quarter of assisted. She's independent, but the staff has been very helpful, very cooperative. They give medication if you need it and there is more levels of assistance if you need it. The food is delicious. The dining room is run like a restaurant. You can go in whenever you want. I think it's from 7:00 in the morning until 8:00 at night. It's sit down and order, as if it's a restaurant. They have a lot of social activities. Singing groups come in and they have nice programs and movie night every night. It's a very positive thing.

My mother-in-law has been in Atria Glen Cove since November. She's in a 1-bedroom with a kitchenette, little dining area, a good size bedroom, and a bathroom. The staff is very helpful with very positive attitude. It has an excellent dining room that's like a restaurant. The food is restaurant quality. You can go anytime you want whenever you're hungry or feel like eating. It's closer to my mother-in-law's niece. They have movies, card games, and organized activities. It has a cheerful environment.

I knew Atria Glen Cove very well because I had my office around the location for about 25 years, so that was a big plus for me. I'm very impressed with it. It is clean. It has a nice environment. People there are friendly. The staff is very nice, cordial and helpful. I haven't had the occasion to eat there but the food looks nice. I'm very pleased with it.
