We went to Cherry Ridge. We ate there about three years ago and the food was good. We were visiting a patient there. So I didn't try the food this time, but the facility was very nice, and very well kept up. We were looking at the cottages there and when somebody moved out, they were completely upgrading all of the carpets and painting. It looked like they were brand-new appliances. The only thing I would have to say about that place is it is huge. There must be 50 or 75 apartments plus the assisted living capabilities. I mean, it's very large. And the other good thing about it is that they're tied in with St. Anne's. As time went on and the needs increased for us they would be able to move you into more assisted living needs. So that was very good. We only met Laura, and she was very, very good. She was very accommodating and went through costs with us, facilities, and history. So, I was very pleased with that.

I went to Cherry Ridge. It was wonderful and very pleasant. They have activities like playing cards. They take care of everything. The staff was very pleasant, accommodating, and very helpful. I looked at bungalows. It's a large apartment.

We got my cousin into independent living at Cherry Ridge in Webster. It's an ideal situation because he could just walk across the way and go visit his wife who is in skilled nursing in the same facility; he could visit every day. One thing that we liked was the ability he would have to visit her. They're both located on the same site and within walking distance, so he can go visit her as often as he likes.
He's in independent living, so he has an apartment, and it is beautiful. It's a three-room apartment with a galley kitchen. It has a little eating area, a full living room, a big bedroom, an enormous bathroom, and a washer and dryer. They come in and clean every couple of weeks but he vacuums it every day.
The way it's all laid out is nice. The skilled nursing care is not large. I think they only have seventy people in skilled nursing care, so they really get a lot of personalized care.
The staff is great; they're very on top of things. Even though he's in independent care, there's a doctor right there on site, so we transferred all his medical care to the doctor. There's a dentist, too, so it's all very convenient.
The food is excellent. If he doesn't want to go to the dining room, he goes downstairs for lunch and brings it back up to his apartment. Sometimes he sits down there in the dining room, though. They bring the dinner right to their door. The menu selections are great and they're flexible.
I know he has not taken advantage of the activities, but I see that they have groups that hike around, like walking groups, and they have exercise classes too. They have a lot of groups there, like card groups and hiking groups. I think they even take people to different functions throughout the area. It's very varied but if you don't want to do them, nobody's going to force you. I think their cost is very reasonable too.

We visited St. Ann's Community at Cherry Ridge for my dad. Everything was good. It was just a little bit too expensive, and the fact that they required a buy-in is not what we're looking for right now. The apartment looked nice and clean. We looked at the villas primarily, and, again, they were expensive, but they were nice. For somebody that is looking for the spectrum of care, I think it would be a very good option. It is on the east side of town, so if you live on the east side, it is convenient, but if you live on the west side, not so much.

The Cherry RIdge Mktg Rep was outstanding - she answered my zillion questions promptly and politely and was always available for mtgs and tours until we decided on an independent apt for my aunt and uncle. The apt is the most spacious we looked at in the area, has a washer & dryer in the unit (vs sharing), does not include meals and housekeeping in the rent - you can include if you'd like. The apt building has just been updated - fresh paint, carpet, lighting, appliances, etc. The amenities and activities are terrific. The staff have all been very welcoming, helpful and friendly. All the residents we've met have only wonderful, positive comments about living there. I believe we made the right choice!

My first visit with Cherry Ridge was very positive. The staff was very professional and very engaging. They did a lot of listening to make sure that their facility was going to be able to meet my mother's needs because if they could not meet my mother's needs, then that wouldn't be the right place. We visited several facilities, I went through a selection process, and that was the one that I selected.
The rooms were clean and spacious. The facilities were very new. They had a lot of expertise in their staff. They had a great menu. They had a lot to offer their residents in terms of activities. They gave them transportation. They were also there in terms of their faith. It was actually a beautiful place. If I was eligible, I would not mind living there myself.

Cherry Ridge seemed good. The apartment in the assisted living, which we needed though, was only one-bedroom. It was small and we needed more than that. They had another part of the complex that was more roomy, but it was not assisted living. The staff was very pleasant, solicitous and very well informed. The dining room looked very spacious and it seemed to be quite pleasant.
