I like The Bristal at Lake Grove the best. It was very cheerful, very bright, light, and the staff was wonderful. The place was close to my home. If I was gonna go somewhere, that's what I would pick for myself. It was a clean and nice place. The staff seemed very caring. What I saw seemed very good. They had a lot of things going. They had everything.

The Bristal at Lake Grove was very, very similar to the other place, but its appearance may have been a little more upscale. It was really beautiful when you walk in. The only drawback would be that they don't allow the children to participate or the family members to participate in the things like watching movies, playing bingo, and going in the pool. I felt like that was a big drawback because I really thought it was important for my daughter. I didn't want to stop the interactions that my parents had with her. They had a dining room that you could reserve for family dinners. They would charge you depending on what meal it was, but right now it's not open. Pretty much the only thing that The Bristal at Lake Grove was offering us are room visits and when the dining room is open, that type of visit.
I didn't feel like it was as open as far as inviting the family in. The staff was very nice, but they seemed like they were stricter with everything. It seems like checking in just to tour the place was more of a hassle. They were restrictive on where you could go while you were there.

This facility is far superior to my former residence. My apartment is bright and well maintained; of most importance are the staff all of whom are caring and interested in my concerns and my satisfaction with my welfare.
This is as good as it gets.

I visited The Bristal. It was very good, and I was pleased. They answered all of my questions, so it would definitely be under consideration when the time comes. It had a fair-sized bedroom, a living room, and a walk-in closet that was definitely a plus. They were attractively furnished. It did not have too much property outside since it was on a highway, which I liked because I had seen some places in the middle of nowhere. There had a common area and a list of the activities, which seemed to be fairly extensive. The staff was very friendly.

The Bristal was absolutely gorgeous. The layout was fixed up, the color scheme, the furniture, and the artifacts. The food is good too. It’s a beautiful place. Aesthetically it was beautiful, and I know it’s a little business, but to go into there, they would charge a monthly extra fee of like $6,000, which of course they’re entitled to, but the other one they called the community tax just turned me off. Aesthetically, it would be a four because the rooms were kind of small.

My parents moved into The Bristal in Lake Grove 2 weeks ago and we all could not be happier. First of all, the place is beautiful. The apartments are a nice size, and the decor in the common areas is magnificent. You feel like you are in a luxury hotel. Everyone that works there is so nice. We have not run into anyone who has not gone out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. My parents rave about the food, and love the activities offered. They are already making friends, and enjoying the facilities. I would highly recommend The Bristal in Lake Grove to anyone looking for an assisted living facility.
