Brompton Heights in Williamsville looked very nice, but the independent side looked old. It was not bright and shiny, while the other side looked newer and nicer. They had big rooms with a lot of chairs, and all had laundry rooms that you don't have to pay quarters in the machine. They can do all the laundry for you if you need to, and they charge you for that.
They had some nice rooms, but they were way down the long hall. In the new sections however, the hall was not long. In independent living, it was just a one long hall, and didn't seem to have any purpose to it. It was kind of depressing.
Their activities include exercises in the morning, singing, ice cream in the afternoon, balloon toss, manicures, finishing the lyrics games, wheel of fortune, special TV thing going on at night, laughter time after exercise, and a Cinco de Mayo Party. It sounds like they're busy all the time. They have beautiful grounds that you could walk around. It's very quiet, even though you're almost at a transit road.

My mom is staying in Brompton Heights. The rooms are somewhat small, but they're decent and clean enough. There are no issues, but I think they should have better knowledge on their patients. Their record keeping isn't the greatest. The response is slow as far as asking for things that you want done, and they just don't keep a good record.

We visited Brompton Heights, and at that time, we were looking for independent living, so we only looked at the independent living section. I saw the main dining room where everybody ate together. It looked like a very luxurious restaurant. It was a very beautiful facility. I thought they had good food, but I don't remember much of the selection. The girl that walked us around was very helpful and very friendly. The place had a homey atmosphere.
The inside was fabulous, and the grounds outside were just OK. The outside looked kind of like institutional, there was not a lot of ground, and they had very little parking. My mother was looking for independent living, she was driving her own car, and there was like no parking. However, it was located in a very nice neighborhood, and it was within two miles from a large hospital. They had different activities to keep the seniors on their toes.
