Allegria at Ocean Grove was very nice, but I felt that the hallways were a little dark. The staff was excellent and nice. They were very knowledgeable. They sit and listen to your questions. The only thing is the only way that the residents can get outside is if they leave the building and go shopping. It didn't have patios where they could get fresh air. They have to go downstairs and leave the building and go to the back of the building where there are some sitting areas.

I had an in-person tour of Allegria at Ocean Grove. It is very convenient because I live in Ocean Grove, so I can walk there. The facility was very, very clean. The staff was very knowledgeable and also friendly. It just had a good feeling when you walked. The dining room is brand new and looks very nice. The rooms were nice as well. We looked at two different types of rooms, and they are very, very nice and comfortable. The staff was very good. They were careful and had good security. They still check your temperature and all that with the COVID; it's very safe. They have a beautiful patio facing Lake Fletcher. Quite a few people were sitting out there. It was a beautiful day, and people were enjoying the sun. It was nice.

We did the tour at Allegria at Ocean Grove for my mom. It was very nice and everything, but it did not meet our expectations. It's just a 1-building. It's an old apartment building or senior living building, and it's just not something that we are interested in. We wanted more of a campus feel. The person doing the tour was friendly and informative, but the facility was just old. The space was small, and there weren't big windows in the rooms. It just was not what we were looking for. It's gotta be a 40 or 50-year-old building. They renovated the hallways and the general space that people are in, but there was nothing in the room unless you decide to bring in a mini refrigerator, a microwave or so. It was just not at all what we had hoped for.

Allegria at Ocean Grove was nice, but they don't have a stove or a kitchen in the rooms. Instead, the residents have go to the dining room to eat. Everything about the community is excellent except for that issue. They go on trips, there are yoga sessions, people come in and talk about finance, teach them how to use the computer, there's dancing, and everything under the sky. They don't have those activities now because of COVID. The staff takes the food directly to the residents since they're on lockdown.

Allegria at Ocean Grove is nice. I don't think they serve the healthiest food for senior citizens who could be on a strict diet. They serve a lot of junk food like hotdogs and chicken nuggets, and people need to be nourished with healthy food. The location is beautiful, it's surrounded by a lake and if you're on the upper floors you can see the ocean. The staff is very nice and seemed caring. If you need a lot of help and care, they're just not necessarily prepared for that. They have tons of activities although my uncle doesn't participate in anything. He just wants to watch TV in his room and go down for meals.

I didn't really get a tour at Allegria at Ocean Grove, so it wasn't great. I get that I didn't have a planned appointment, but I waited for half an hour, so I just walked around on my own. The ground floor and dining room were very nice and the chapel was beautiful. The location was ideal. It just didn't meet my expectation of cleanliness once I got off the elevator and onto the floors. I saw trays outside people's rooms at 3:30 in the afternoon that should have been picked up long before but were not.

My mom lives in Allegria and has been living there for 6 years. I have been so impressed at not only the facility itself, but the staff as well. Mom has been so happy from day 1 and truly calls Allegria home.

I didn't care for Allegria. The rooms were not very large and needed updating. The staff was not impressive. They had a small sitting area out back.
