My wife and I are living in a very nice apartment while we wait on the completion of some new units under construction. We are generally pleased with the facility and it’s operation. However, we arrived here as owners of an electric car, but there are currently no chargers for apartment dwellers to charge their cars. We must use off campus chargers in Black Mountain. When we first arrived, the administration said they would consider providing a charger somewhere on campus we could use. When there as no response, I even offered them a charger they could install, but so far, no results. Also, they are currently building major new facilities, but none of these are utilizing solar energy technology. Seems the administration is lagging behind modern trends and not thinking ahead. Solar energy and electric vehicles are definitely a part of our future. So far, Givens Highland Farms doesn’t get it.

My aunt has moved into Givens Highland Farms. It was an excellent experience. The marketing staff made it very easy for her to move in, helped her choose her room, and they were incredibly accommodating. They've been excellent. The staff there has been doing things for her each day. My aunt has gotten engaged in the community and she has met a lot of new friends, and she even likes the food. She has been very pleased with the smaller dining area, but she has not gone to the large one yet. She is even gaining weight. Her room is very nice with large windows and good light coming into the room. There's a garden area outside her window, so she's very pleased with it. I think it's a little bit expensive but she's happy there, so it's working for us.

Givens Highland Farms looks very homey. The landscaping is beautiful. It seems to have a very harmonious design. The staff was excellent, very caring, and understanding. When we were there, they were doing some knitting and crafty type of activities. A friend of mine lives there. She likes the food and thinks it's good. It's a very friendly and senior-oriented environment. It's worth the value, if you have the money.

I toured Givens Highland Farms and they were accommodating and very friendly. They answered any questions I had and told us about the activities, which seemed to be just what I needed. The person who gave the tour was also very, very friendly and very knowledgeable. I was interested in their cottages. They were under renovation at the time and I just really liked what I saw. It was clean, roomy, and convenient.
As people move in, if they have a special hobby that they want to share, they can start classes for that. There's also a library, transportation into Black Mountain and other places, games, and social gatherings. There is not a lot of turnover with staff, so they've been there a long time, which says they like what they do and I was impressed.

I liked Givens Highland Farms of the communities I visited. It's very nice. It's very upscale, it's not cheap, and there's nothing bad to say about it. It was the best of them all. People in sales are the only people I talked to. They've very nice rooms. The construction is fairly new there. I was going there simply to check what the units were like and what the menus were. And that's what I was checking them for. I'm a very active person, I wasn't interested in what was going on. It's a very good menu. The salesperson was very nice and thoughtful. It was pretty, all landscaped. The dining area was very modern, very pleasant, and attractive.
