I toured The Blake at Flowood, but it's way too high. The price is ridiculous. They charge the same thing for assisted living and independent living. The community seemed alright, but it was just way higher priced than some of the others. It's a fairly new facility. If I went in there, they wouldn't have to do anything for me, so why would I want to pay the same thing that you would be charged to help you get dressed, have your shower, get into bed at night, and do your medication? That turned me off of them. The staff was fine. They answered all of my questions and there was a new person that had just started there and she was a very nice lady. The rooms were very nice. I just didn't feel like I should be paying the same thing if I would need no help. The facilities and amenities were nice. The only complaint I've got is the fact that they were gonna charge the same price. If you take the price out, they were good. I felt like they were not being reasonable.
