I will be moving into The Farmstead. I toured them, and I like the way the director presented it. The building itself was very well appointed, the painting, the colors and the layout were very, very good. The choice of the apartment was great. I think it's going to be a good fit. With Covid, I didn't get a chance to communicate much with anyone except the director there, one of the maintenance people, and the chapel representative. They're very friendly. I like almost everything about the place, except that the area it's in, is quite busy, traffic-wise. It doesn't have the open areas that some of the others have, but it has a walking track in the basement and everything else that I wanted.
I did not try the food. I visited the dining area, and they have many choices. I can order one meal or a full meal program. I've been cooking for myself for several months now, so I intend to take one meal a day, and then supplement with what I can do. They've responded to every question that I had and have called me back if there were any changes. Everything has been pretty positive. I didn't get to see an awful lot of it, but all that I saw was very clean and well cared for.
