We liked New Perspective | Prior Lakem but they demanded so much money upfront. The rooms were very pleasant and seemed quite adequate. It's just forbiddingly expensive and just doesn't make any financial sense.

We toured New Perspective, but we didn't think it was suitable for mother. It was under new management, and we had a miscommunication with the director, but a nurse was gracious enough to give us a full tour. They had a lot of features and functions, the rooms seemed to be in nice order, and they served meals there. The one-bedroom was pretty standard with a kitchen area and air conditioning unit.

We visited New Perspective and thought the building needed upgrading. They were working on it, but the carpet was old and worn, and the building didn't seem to be particularly clean. We also thought they were too expensive. Things were not as well taken care of as most of the places we went to. They had a meeting area, dining room, assisted living and memory care, a library, workshop, game room, and an exercise area. They had as many amenities as any of the other places we saw.
