The Fountains are beautiful. It is without a doubt the best thing they have going for them. I would warn everyone to read carefully your paperwork about leaving the facility. They require 3 months notice. After a nasty fall, the social worker and medical staff indicated my mother could no longer care for herself. Obviously their primary objective is to get more money because since they had no room in their assisted living area they suggested I move my mother into their memory care area. My mother did not need that and would have been hurt by doing so. When I refused, they insisted she pay the full 3 months despite the fact they didn't have any place appropriate for her to stay.

We chose The Fountains because it was close by where she lived before and so she was still familiar with the area. They have all kinds of things that are going on. They have exercise class daily. Everyday there's something different that they can do that they post. They have wine tasting parties. If you want to learn how to do a new craft, they have people that will teach you like crocheting or knitting. You can plant in the garden if you want to. I really appreciate the fact that the staff are very friendly to me. My mom has a two-bedroom apartment and a small kitchen that she can cook her own meal if she wants to. I have eaten there and I really like the food. They had a lot of different things that you can choose from the menu.

The facilities are extremely nice and clean, and when you walk in the front door it feels like a place that you want to be. Even from the first peek in the driveway it feels like somewhere you want to be. Though it's not in the middle of nowhere, if feels removed from the hustle and bustle of regular life. The staff is always very courteous and helpful, and the people living there seem to have some great friendships. When I played a concert there, I walked in the door and all of the staff present immediately knew what I was there for and directed me to the room I would be playing in. There were chairs set up and a beautiful little stage. It was wonderful to see the staff bring people in one at a time, and spend the time to make sure each and every one of them was comfortable. I really got the impression that the staff cared about every person, and took the time to really get to know them.

The Fountains at Bronson Place assisted living facility was recommended by a friend in the region as an option for my friend's mother. The pretty backyard features many places for seniors to enjoy around the grounds safely. The property also had plenty of park-like space with nicely manicured lawns. The centralized lake is a great place to relax and enjoy the day. It is a nice retirement community that offers a variety of living options. We could see that the residents there are content and well cared for when we arrived. As we walked through the building, we could see that the interior design was nicely ordered and easy to navigate. Each room had nice views with really nice décors featuring lots of fresh air and light. The private rooms were decorated tastefully with a homey, light and airy atmosphere. Each unit has nice views of the surrounding area. Bathrooms were designed with safety seats and rails. The main dining room had a comfortable and spacious decor. The residents are offered healthy, home-style cooked meals in a casual restaurant setting. The food looked and smelled delicious, as well as healthily prepared. The menus included many interesting dishes, as well as the usual American fare. Snacks are offered regularly throughout the day and whenever residents desire them. The exercise center includes daily yoga and aerobics exercise classes. The equipment is available throughout the day and residents may also walk the grounds safely. The many activities on the calendar of events included a variety of stimulating activities like fun ways to exercise with nature walks and the opportunity to enjoy all that the region offers. The residents all looked very content. The kind and caring staff ensure that the resident's needs are met in a peaceful, yet stimulating living environment.

This assisted living home is a bit deceiving. If you see a picture of this facility you will say it looks very nice. If you look at the brochure you will also be impressed. I have a friend who stays there and I visit her on a regular basis. She does not look happy. She says that everything is ok but you can tell they are not. What brings down the score is the people. It might look like a nice place to live but the people are the ones that bring down the score. They do not act like they are genuine. They act like they are putting on a show. I am a pretty good judge of character and I know I am right. They act like they are doing things because they have to and do not enjoy the residents. I noticed negative behavior to the residents when they thought that I was not looking. I also noticed that they weren't very gentle with their patients. I would give this place a rating of 5. But when you add the staff I have to bring the score down to a 3.
