I was able to go and tour Delta Retirement Center, but it was too pricey for me. It was very nice, they showed me the amenities and they showed me some apartments. The staff there were very nice and their rooms were all very nice as well. I have nothing bad to say about it at all, everything I saw was very nice. They had a nice exercise room, card room, and community room. Overall, the place was clean and neat and it looked like it's been cleaned consistently. Someone comes in once a week to clean the rooms. They also had a little club, so that was nice.

We have my father-in-law at the Delta Retirement Center in Lansing. It's a real nice place, and they have more interaction than where my mom is. It's for people that need a little bit more care. I think my mom would do well there. They go down and have meals, but they all have small kitchens. My dad has a two-burner cooktop, a little sink, and a fridge, but no oven. He could fry an egg if he wanted to, but he doesn't. He just goes down, but if somebody doesn't come down for their meal (they have two meals a day), the staff comes and checks on them. There are cords. If somebody falls and needs help, they can pull the cord. There's a little more assistance available in that setting. You can order ala carte services for them. You pay for each service. It adds to the price of their room, but their base price includes the two meals a day and all their activities. They have activities every day and they have laundry facilities. He has a one-bedroom. The staff is fabulous. It's a great place. However, with the virus, they've been giving them their meal in their room in a container and it has been terrible. Before this whole Covid baloney, their food was good. He does not like the meals that are delivered. He thinks they're cold and they're tasteless, and he thinks the quality of food is less than what it was when they were eating in the dining room. Right now, they're back in their rooms again, but you can still go visit them. We've had the holiday meals and those were fabulous. They go over and above, and the entertainment has been marvelous. The facility is excellent, and they keep it very well kept up. They've been remodeling apartments and carpeting in the hallways. My father-in-law has been there three years. They give them a lot. I don't have any complaints about them.

Delta Retirement Center was clean and had a friendly staff. It's a little busier location traffic-wise, but it's nice. We didn't really interact with the staff other than the office people. It's got a modern design. There are a lot of shopping nearby and it's not far from a local hospital.

Food does not meet the dietary needs of the residents. Most is high salt, sugar and carbs. Not good for those with heart problems, diabetes and other health issues. Staff is helpful and responsive, but upper level management is distant with little interaction with the residents. Activities, particularly crafts, are not age appropriate. Very elementary and not stimulating. The facility is older, but still in good shape. It is nice that everything is on one floor. They have not lived up to their statements during tours. Absolutely no diversity with exception of staff.

Delta Retirement Center was nice. It was a little bigger than I would like but it was clean and nice. There was one lady staff who took around was nice and informative. The main issue was that it wasn't diverse at all. They have a library and a small chapel area where they can go. They also offer meals. A lot of stuff was ala carte. They have movies, and there is a game room, too. Everything there was nice.

I'm living at Delta Retirement Center. The staff is wonderful, and the people who live here are very nice. I'm very pleased. They just got a new chef and the food is getting better and better. I have a wonderful apartment. They have a lot of activities. It's a wonderful value for what you're paying.

Delta Retirement Center is independent living, but you're too cooped up in there. One lady showed me around, and the rooms were too small for the price. They didn't have any outdoor balcony or anything like that, that you could get outside. I just didn't like it.
