They said they would help hang things pictures, etc. Then when my relative was moved in we were told that it was up to us to have done. Some things were not cleaned as the should have been. Housekeeping was to come by and do but, never did my relative had to complete the cleaning. Food portions are skimpy and often lukewarm. You have to ask for extra servings which (if they have) they will provide. As mentioned in other reviews they do not provide diet specific menus.

My mother-in-law lives at Lockwood of Fenton. She has a 2-bedroom apartment and she’s very pleased there, but it’s expensive. They just remodelled so it’s very attractive when you walk in, and the apartments are well maintained. We’re pleased. They have different areas where they can sit and visit, and they just made a socialization room where they can play bingo, they can have people come in and entertain, and recently they had a junior high honor group come in and sing Christmas carols and they brought cookies. They planned some outside activities in the facility for them. They prepare all three meals for her. She goes down to the dining room and eat all her meals with everyone else. She seems to like the food. She always complain that the portions are too big, but since she’s diabetic, it’s hard because they offer desserts, and it’s hard to pass up a piece of pie. The way they redid the front office is very nice. They have a very nice concierge when you first walk in, which is very impressive, but the admin people are all now behind closed doors, and to me, it comes across as cold or unfriendly. I don’t know how much interaction they have with the residents. They also have a new medical team, but it’s at an additional cost. They have an RN that’s overseeing things, but it’s optional for the residents. The cleaning staff are all friendly and nice. They have a new activities director.

Even though they were told that Lockwood would be able to accommodate dietary restriction "with no Problem". they have yet to be able to deliver what they promised !!! The meal program is lacking in quality, perorations, and the ability to work with special diets. My suggestion would be to "get it in writing". Also the cost is outrageous, you can go to a local restaurant for better food at a cheaper price. .

My mom was in Lockwood of Fenton, but we weren't very happy. There's a very slow response. One night my mother fell and she kept pushing her button, but it took almost two hours before someone showed up. They kept giving us the excuse that they have limited staff on the weekends. The food was not good. The medical team is separate from the Lockwood staff. Now, the medical team is pretty nice and accommodating in terms of care, but the staff was not very caring and unapproachable. We weren't very happy with them. Her room was clean, and the cleaners were OK. They did have a lot of activities, like live entertainment, Bingo, and outings. That part was good, plus the facilities were nice.

Lockwood of Fenton would be my number one choice, and I had looked at five different places. The lady, who took me through, was absolutely a wonderful person. The living area was clean and everything seemed to be updated, nothing was broken or anything, and the residents seemed to be very happy. It was just an all-around nice experience. They had everything that anyone would want. I can’t imagine what else they could add that would be helpful or that people would want because they had it set up in a very nice way, and they had a lot of things to do for the people. The rooms were a nice, comfortable size. They took me to everything, and I was very impressed.

Lockwood of Fenton was a very good place. The rooms were clean and spacious and were offered in different sizes depending on the price. The activities were nice. I saw the food being served, and the dining room was very nice. They were doing some remodelling, including the entryway, which will make it a lot nicer. The staff was very helpful and nice. They had a lot of rooms for different kinds of activities.

The staff is very friendly at Lockwood of Fenton. The woman that I have been working with is very accommodating. The rooms are very spacious. We are moving my mother-in-law in the first part of August. They have card clubs, different games, and bus trips.

We've visited the Lockwood of Fenton. It just seemed clean and friendly. They have a little shop, like a Dollar Store shop. My mother is on a waiting list, and I put a $50 deposit down. They said it's a year's waiting list. The only thing holding us out on that place, which is for low income, is that we need additional income even though it's low income. Nice apartment. The positive side is the building itself, the surroundings, and also the fact that they have on-site nursing help. They don't farm it out to a company. They had a lot of things going on, like bingo and cards. The staff goes over the packet that they give you. It was pretty clear cut but not rushed.

The food is not very good at Lockwood of Fenton but everything else is fine. I like best the location of this place because it is close to my eldest son. The place is very nice and well kept-up. The rooms are okay. The people that work here are fine, helpful and pleasant.
