My mom lived in another independent living where she became very lonely. I decided to move her to Maplewood hoping she would make new friends and feel part of a community. She moved over almost a month ago and couldn’t be happier. Everyone is friendly and very inclusive! I’m a very short time she has made many new friends.

Our mother has been a resident in independent-living at Maplewood of Weston for nearly a decade. As a family, we have seen numerous changes in Maplewood over these years.
We are especially grateful for 2 things that have remained constant. The first is that our mother is comfortable in a lovely apartment that includes a private out-door space that she has decorated with her own things, and that really feels like her home. The second is that throughout most of these years, MW staff has been generally friendly, available and helpful. The new Executive Director has excelled in this area and has extended himself to be available and to support us as a family in ways that may seem small, but have been both thoughtful and much appreciated.
The third thing for which we are tremendously grateful is the efforts that have been made so far to assure our mother's safety through the COVID pandemic. MW seems to have fared better than many elder-care facilities, and has responded quickly and appropriately to uncertainty and challenges, seeking a balance between residents' access and safety as conditions have continuously shifted. Furthermore, real-time communication through out this process has been generally excellent which has gone a long way in helping us maintain some peace of mind in the midst of such a difficult time.

My parents have been living at Maplewood at Weston for a few months now. We toured a few other facilities and found that Maplewood at Weston was the best fit for my parents. The Community Relations Directors was very resourceful and helped us make this very tough decision. The rooms were spacious and all their furniture fit into the room very nicely. Due to Covid-19 they weren't able to join too many activities - but thing are now improving. The staff has been very supportive to their needs and respond very quickly when needed. The Director of the facility is very welcoming and is always there to answer any question I might have or that of my parents. My dad enjoys walking around the facility and talking with anyone who is willing to have a conversation.

My mother is a current resident of Maplewood at Weston. I visited many local assisted-living facilities and Maplewood at Weston was the best match for my mother. It is not huge which makes dining and activities accessible and convenient for her. The food is spectacular, really fine-dining quality. The activities are intelligent, varied and beautifully facilitated. Everyone is warm, welcoming and caring. If you are looking for a place "where everyone knows your name", Maplewood should be your choice. In addition, they have handled the COVID pandemic very conscientiously and kept everyone safe from infection through the summer, fall and winter. The wellness staff responds promptly and appropriately to my mother when she has a health issue. The management has been very responsive to any questions or issues that have arisen. My mother thinks she is on a luxury cruise!

I'm currently living in Maplewood at Weston. It's very nice, very clean, but the people that are here are more in need of assistance getting around, meals, etc. I didn't get to meet too many people that I could do much with. I bought into it 6 months ago but I'm not moving up there yet. My room is okay, it's old because the building is older at about 30-35 years old. They needed staff better at the kitchen for waitressing help and so on, but the staff members themselves are very super people. The food was good, I only had dinners there even though three meals a day were offered to me. The meals were really very good, they could stand to be a little hotter, but that happens when you try to feed too many people. From soups to desserts, they're a good size for the elderly because they don't eat that much. They also have activities, exercise classes and a pool. The one thing I didn't care for there was that fire alarms would go off at odd hours and we'd have to wait for the fire department to show up. Then they would lose their power quite often, but the town of Weston is known for that. Luckily there's a generator plugged in each room specially for us on oxygen. I had a washer and dryer on my room, and when it died they found me a new one. The staff was good, I enjoyed most of the staff that I met.

The surroundings at Maplewood at Weston were very nice. We had lunch there, which was good. They're making some improvements to the facility. The apartments were good size. They did have two-bedroom suites and single bedroom suites available. They have all amenities. They have trips, and they have music people visiting. They have a nice library and a big deck area.
