My mother is staying at The Residence at Melrose Station. I think that for a first-time senior living experience, it's been great. As her family members, what we see is she's getting the best of care. It's a great building with a beautifully appointed lobby and common spaces.
The rooms are very nice, and I think mom is very happy there. The food and the care are good. The people who work at the front, like everybody, are good. It's a really great place. I think she's just tired because she's been there two years now, and she just wants a change of scenery.
It's a great place. I was tempted to move in, and I think I qualify because I'm over fifty-five. I just don't live in the same city. The landscape and the common areas are just gorgeous. She is in independent living, but she does have some assistance with showering and housekeeping. She's in a studio, so she would prefer something larger; but for her, it's fine.
