My mother moved into Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods. It's absolutely wonderful. It's exactly what my mother needs. She's well cared for. Lots of daily activities to keep the elders entertained, and she's gained weight since she's been in there. Overall, I see a huge improvement. I couldn't be happier. They have bingo, cornhole, crocheting, they have Bananagrams, and they have balloon volleyball. They just have an endless list of activities for the elders to enjoy. They have Whirlpool, on-site laundry facilities. She has her own apartment, which is handicap accessible. It's a perfect size for her. It doesn't have a stove, they have the kitchen cabinets you need, a full-size refrigerator, and a full-size sink. They have a walk-in shower with a chair where she can go in and just sit right down. I think you just need to give it a chance, tour the facility. I toured it alone, and then I took my mother back because I wanted her to make sure that was a place that she wanted to be, and I didn't choose that location. She gave me the "Yes, go ahead. I'm ready to move in."

I visited Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods. It was absolutely beautiful and would have been a wonderful place to stay. It just wasn't my cup of tea. I wouldn't have wanted to have to get dressed and go downstairs three times a day to get meals, for me that's a little bit much. It was very nice, and the little girl that helped us was very, very nice. You couldn't have complained about anything. The facility was very nice. I would have loved it if I hadn't had to go downstairs to eat three times a day. I just love the rooms. I always wanted to live in New York, on one of those streets that had trees on it, and it reminded me of New York and living in an apartment like that. So, I really was crazy about it. I would have liked it, but I got home, and I got to think about that going downstairs three times a day, and I couldn't do that. I liked the library, and I liked the art class, I thought it was just a great place to live. The dining area was beautiful. They were having lunch when we were there, but we just went ahead, then we saw the room and we looked at everything; but the dining room, it was perfect. The staff was all very nice. They were very helpful about questions, or anything that we wanted or thought we might want to do; it was just great. I had my daughter with me, and she enjoyed looking at it so much, and I couldn't get her away from there in time to go to another one. So, we only got to see that one, and then it was perfect. It was lovely.
