We went to look at Park West Plaza. I like that they have cottages there the best. The staff member did very nicely. She sent us a video of the tour so that we could have a chance to look it over again when we wanted to. They had a courtyard. The facility was very clean. It was near a pharmacy, shopping, and a clinic that we're looking at.

I went to see Park West Plaza, but it's not my favorite among those I toured. It's an older place, definitely one of the oldest places I looked at, but it's also one of the lowest-cost ones. At the time I was there, it was completely packed full, and there were no rooms available. The rooms were very old school, with a 20 to 25-year-old design. The maintenance and upkeep look fine. The place looks like it's been taken care of, it's just that the older technology was noticeable. The person who gave me the tour was nice, he showed me around. It was a nice tour. They had the best outdoor area, they've got a big lake in their backyard, there were walking places, and outdoor picnic tables. They had the biggest outdoor area of all the places I've visited. The facility itself is not like those big resort areas, it doesn't have quite as many amenities as the other places I toured. It's just that it being an older location makes it kind of an old-school place, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's just that new places have expanded and are very modern. I toured the dining area, it was very nice.

We went to Park West Plaza. I didn't like it at all. I was wanting one of the little independent houses, and it's not part of the main structure. They were very small and just not too appealing at all. They showed where you had lunch with your monthly fee, and it was in this little room, which is a nice little room. But the lunch that day was a salad bar, which only had lettuce in it and then dressing. They had two entrees, one was shrimp and one chicken, and then a vegetable which was not at all appealing. The lady was very nice, she was good. She was very personable, and she explained everything to us. She explained things, but it's just not the atmosphere that I liked.

I have moved into Park West Plaza. It's just the friendliest place I think I've ever seen. The apartments are nice. There are plenty of rooms. You also got a meal. I'm just satisfied that I'm here. I like the people. Everything is good for me. The only thing is that it's not a good dog place. I've got a two-bedroom apartment, and the bathroom is fixed for the handicap. It's just so much better than what I expected. They have a beauty salon and they've got exercises like chair yoga, they've got bingo, and they've got all kinds of stuff. They have lots of activities. There is a nice walking path and there's a little lake, it's a pretty good walk. I've got a nice porch and a little patio. The staff is very friendly and a lot of help. I had one problem here in the bathroom that needed to be fixed, and I called the office and that very same day, the maintenance guy came and fixed it. They are all so friendly and nice and make you feel welcome.

When I got to Park West Plaza, I was greeted by the person in charge of showing people around and letting them know what's available. I got a booklet to work with, so that I could actually show and have my mom-in-law read what was going on. They had an empty room that I could look at, and it had a nice big front room and kitchen. The access from the bedroom to the bathroom was very convenient and easy. The doors were wide, so if someone's in a wheelchair, it would work out really well for them. The convenience and the way it's setup was beautiful. They had cottages and they're mostly 2-room cottages. There's a master room and a small room, and they're about 600 square feet. They also come with a washer and a dryer, so that was nice. I like the layout. It's easy and convenient to get around for anybody. The amenities were included, utilities and cable, too. They had outside activities to participate in, like games. They had a dining room that independents could go in if they don't want to cook. Tom was very nice and conveniently answered my questions. The structure was a bit older, but it was clean and nice. It's just like any other place. The room was plain, not decorated, and empty, so if you put someone's personality in there, then it's better.

Park West Plaza seemed pretty nice and the people seemed taken care of. We had lunch and the food was really good. We also took a tour of the independent living aside from the assisted. I didn't really like the room they show me but another one came up, but I didn't take it because I was in the hospital. Other than that everything was good. The place was clean and looked like it's kept up pretty good. Although the community has got a little bit of age to it, it still looks good. They have a variety of amenities, they also have a beauty salon. It felt like a homey place to me, and it looked like they keep up well with their maintenance.

Park West Plaza was nice, but they did not serve meals, so that was a negative. The apartment and everything were very nice and everyone was so kind. We like the place, but they didn't serve meals. The rooms had a patio so you could go outside, and it was the 2-bedrooms that we looked at. The rooms were nice, and all of them were small but had pretty much what we needed. The staff, like in all the other places I visited, were very nice and everyone was very kind. They called to check on us a couple of times, and they asked about my husband's health or how we are doing. So that was nice.

We were not impressed with the quality of the apartment or the reception area at Park West Plaza. The amenities were fine, but the reception area wasn't that neat. The staff, other than the head of housekeeping in the clubhouse, was only fairly informed or helpful. They had a fitness center, a library, activities, and transportation.

I live in the independent section of Park West Plaza, but it does have three sections. My children wanted some place where if I should have to move, it would just be a matter of going across the driveway. I also like the amenities that they have. They have a lot of classes and programs, a big screen TV, there are lots of things to do, plus they have the opportunity for meal plans. In independent living, we are pretty much on our own. We might have a cookout, which the other part of the facility doesn't have. You get to know each other really well because there are only 16 of us that are in the independent living section. You can ask for certain food to be cooked. Each unit has its own washer and dryer, and bathtubs with showers. It's not a walk-in tub, but it's a low-edged tub. We have a full-sized kitchen and a walk-in closet in one room and a regular closet in the other. If the weather is bad, they bring us our food, so we don't have to go to the clubhouse to eat. We can also call in and they will bring us our food. We have a certified chef. The staff is very good. They call people by their names and they're very solicitous to us. The activities I've been to have been great.

We looked at Park West Plaza. It was very nice, very clean, and the people seemed rather friendly. They were having a fire drill. The rooms seemed a little bit small, and it was a little pricey. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable.

I am currently a resident of Park West Plaza. I like it because it's like a complex with our dining room at the center and a building for other residents to live. I would recommend this community. They offer so many activities, but I don’t go to all of them. We have bingo once a week, plus a beautiful walking area with a pond. That's what makes this place so attractive.
