I have looked at The Atriums, and I'm very satisfied with that. I like how friendly they were, the fact that there is an indoor pool, and that they have a really good book club. I have to be gluten-free, and they had lots of choices. I saw several of their 1-bedrooms. I like the different options. There were different choices within a 1-bedroom. They offer transportation and activities. They're inclusive and very welcoming. The facility is excellent. It's very airy.

I had an in-person tour of The Atriums. The physical appearance was very up-to-date, clean, well-appointed, and open. It was light and bright. There was a lot of activity going on when we got there. The staff members were great, knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all our questions. They introduced us to some of the residents, and we got to talk to some of them. When we visited, they were eating dinner. The food smelled really good, and everybody seemed to be enjoying it. I observed people in small groups and hanging out. They had a theater room and a game room. The people seemed to be enjoying hanging out there. The rooms that we saw were all nice and recently renovated. I talked to them a week ago, and they remembered my dad's name and everything that I told them about him. I was impressed with that.

The Atriums in Overland Park is welcoming, nice, and clean. My mom moved to independent living three weeks ago. The staff is extremely friendly and there are a lot of activities available. They have bingo, piano, live music, and singing. They also have day trips. The food is really good too. They have good options and daily specials. They're currently remodeling the facility.

I liked The Atriums but it didn't serve our purpose. I wanted a facility that had provision for long-term care for my wife's early stage of dementia and the place was nice but it was not what I was looking for. The price wasn't that outrageous too, it was a little expensive but it was tolerable. The problem was more of them not having the facility we needed. They have a restaurant, a recreation room, and a card room, things like that. The staff was superb, they're all wonderful people. Every place I visited had very good quality people but the Atrium probably was above the rest.

The lady who guided us around The Atriums was very professional, competent, and a nice person. We liked the idea that the community was owned by a family instead of a big corporation. We also liked the volume of light in the eating area, and that there are high ceilings. The place is about eight stories tall, it has two atriums in the lower level dining area, and the other one is in a nice sitting room. The units were very nice and had good views, especially up above level five. You can see over the tree tops and you can look out over the city. We liked it. It's more like a hotel than a retirement community. We weren't able to try the food but they offered me and my wife a meal if we came back to visit again. It was a really nice place with bright colors and no negative odor, so I liked that. They actually had some construction going on, but they kept it out of the way. They also had an indoor pool, which was very nice.

The Atriums was nice, clean and seemed very well kept up. It looked more like a hotel. There was an open atrium area and an ice cream bar area, which I like. The rooms were dated but nice; I liked them. They had very friendly staff. The lady who took me around is the owner, and she is a fireball of a lady. She is 88 years old and amazing. The people seemed very friendly. I had lunch there, and it was good. Breakfast is always included and free; I like that. You have your choice of one other meal, either lunch or dinner. However, The Atriums didn't quite feel like home, but it was pretty close. I would consider it as a place I would go.

They facilitated a transfer of my personal items to there on Metcalf. I was surprised to find 50% of my high end goods and jewelry gone. And sorry to say till this day. Nothing has been recovered. My family is devastated.

The Atriums seemed more like a hotel or an embassy suite. There are no outdoor options or doing outside things. The location is a little limited as far as access to trails and just being outside. It's more of an always indoor kind of thing, and it's not what we're looking for. It's a good and nice place, and I like the amenities. The folks are nice, accommodating, and have a very great attitude. As far as the people and atmosphere, it was positive.

I’m currently at The Atriums. The staff and all of the residents are nice people. The facility is big, clean, and roomy. The apartment that I’m in is not big, but I’m by myself, so I don’t need a big apartment. However, it does have a kitchen with a dishwasher. The food is good. They have many activities, like field trips, plus a swimming pool and a place for residents to work out.

We've placed my mother-in-law at The Atriums. The place is really very nice. They offer lots of activities and the rooms are also very nice. I like that they treat the people like humans.

The Atrium is in a one floor building. It's beautiful and they have lots of social activities and they have great meals. I know quite a few of the staff there. They have very good management team. The woman that runs the place is the owner. It's almost like living on a cruise ship. It's a beautiful facility. They have big choice of rooms from studio to 3-bedroom apartments. I liked it very much. However, I felt like my son would not fit into the independent living category. He needs more supervision than that. But if I ever needed to move to a place, I'd move there in a heartbeat.
