I toured Mission Chateau. It was clean, well-managed, and in good shape. Everything was nice. It was well kept up and it was at a high level of quality. I had a hamburger there and it was not burnt.

Mission Chateau is very nice. It's extremely upscale. All the amenities are extremely upscale and extremely expensive. It was extremely expensive. It's in a very, very expensive end of town and it shows. It's an extremely nice community. It's beautiful. The apartments were extremely nice. They had hardwood-type floors in the living areas, which was important to me as a wheelchair patient. The tour guide showed us around the different places in the building, but she didn't share the activities with us. We didn't get a full idea of what the activities were. It looked like they might have been getting ready for the football game and that's about it, that's all we saw. It was a Saturday, so there didn't seem to be much going on.

I toured Mission Chateau. The staff treated me very well, they were friendly, they were informative, they did a very thorough tour of the facility, and made sure I had any questions answered. The facility itself was very light, bright, up-to-date, and clean. It's almost like a country club. It is so nice. Their food service thing looked pretty awesome, because it looked like they had a breakfast bar, like every morning you come down and have your breakfast cooked to order. That was something different than I saw in any of the other places where you had a lot better choice for food. So, food is important. The downside of Mission Chateau was the size of the apartments were fairly small compared to others. They had a swimming pool, they had a whole weight room. It was kind of more like a country club, but my mother-in-law was just not a country club kind of gal, so that just wasn't going to work for her.
