The people I met at Garden Villas of Lenexa were very nice. The staff gave me an overall view of everything. It was an older facility. They had a very nice pool area, but that was not of interest to my aunt at all. Overall, it was clean and nice enough. But it felt like a nursing home. I saw people playing bingo, and that was about it. They have a library though. And the staff who gave me the tour was very friendly. The dining area looked clean, too.

Garden Villas of Lenexa was by far my favorite of the apartments that I looked at. The only problem with it was that the laundry room was on the lower floor. To go there, I would have to go down a hallway, take an elevator, and then walk a little bit more. I thought that was a little bit too inconvenient at my age. The washers and dryers are complimentary, but you have to go to them. I viewed a 1-bedroom alcove. It is essentially a studio, but it is extremely well laid out with a full kitchen and a great closet space. Even though it is a studio, you get extra storage, which is helpful. It also has a nice balcony. They have an indoor heated pool and a hot tub. They have several activity rooms that looked quite nice. They have a little bar area with ice cream. The activities looked nice. They have a library, and the dining area is restaurant style. They have the nicest staff, too. They were very friendly and very involved. They were chatting with the residents on a friendly basis. It was a lovely atmosphere. The reason I didn't choose them was the laundry situation. Also, there was a big hill within the parking lot that you would have to go up to, and in the winter that might be a bit difficult. They have transportation available. They offer valet parking. If it was slippery, I could just leave my car at the door, and they would take it and park it.

We liked Garden Villas of Lenexa. The staff was great. They were very informative, very welcoming, and lowkey. We also liked the price that they offered, and just the facility itself. The dining area was very nice and very clean. Their menu had lots of choices. It's an older facility, but it's been renovated so it looked bright, cheerful, very modern, and it smelled great. It had a happy atmosphere.

I would give Garden Villas of Lenexa a high rating. I was just impressed. It was probably the oldest facility we saw, but it was beautiful and very well maintained. They have a gorgeous carpet on the floor that is pink and has big flowers on it. The apartments looked to be well maintained. You could have laundry in your unit for $25 extra. They gave my mom cookies to bring home, and they were hot out of the oven. They were chocolate chip, pistachio, cranberry or something like that; they tasted amazing. They were the best bakery cookies you've ever seen. They were really good. We didn't eat other food there, but it sounded like their food was good. If their food was like those cookies, the food would be pretty amazing. We met a lady who has lived there for seven years, and she said that the place is fabulous and loves it. The guy who toured us around has worked there for almost 30 years, and that's pretty amazing as well. He said that it's a great place to work and that says a lot about a place. He said the maintenance guy had been there 28 years or something too. To me, that says a lot. They had a swimming pool and outdoor spaces. The amenities were maybe smaller than some of the other places, but the outside spaces and the place looked to be very well maintained. Everybody who worked there seemed happy and engaged in what they were doing. They greeted us and were just very nice.
