We toured Sunny Ridge. It was terrible. It was very institutional. It didn't feel like an independent living situation, it felt more like a higher level of care. The lady at the desk didn't know anything about our visit, so she didn't have any record of us coming that day. She was a little upset that we were there. We saw one room and the main area that was kind of the entrance area. It was dated, and it was old. It seemed to be clean, but it was too institutional. My wife and I both right away said this was not a good place for my mother to be. And the staff was kind of grumpy with us.

We moved into Sunny Ridge. It's very friendly. We like it. I don't like the food. My husband eats it because he likes anything, but I'm not fond of it. I haven't been here long enough to do any activities. The other residents are doing the activities. Our room is big and we love it. They have cleaning services; laundry. They do offer rides, but I don't have a need for them. The residents are very likable. It's cheaper than the other places.

The tour I had at Sunny Ridge was not as good as the other place we visited. I think they were short staffed and it was more of a rushed tour. The lady who took me around had other duties, so she wasn't as prepared. The facility was more spread out, which was kind of nice though. We toured just a studio apartment and it was just getting finished painting. So, they were doing some modifications to some of the apartments. When we were there, the residents were playing bingo. So, that seemed to be fun.
