Right now, my mom is in Brookdale Coeur d'Alene. The food is not that great, my mom doesn't like it. The management has had a lot of issues with keeping staff and keeping things running smoothly, at least in my eyes. That's what I see. Some of their policies are not what I think they should be. They keep it clean and it's a nice-looking place. The staff is pretty nice, it's just the lack of staff that's the problem. They have an adequate amount of activities for the residents to do, they offer shopping trips to the casino, bingo, and Bible study, and they have sit and be fit kinda exercise class. They have space for people to have meetings or do crafts.

We chose Brookdale Coeur d'Alene for my parents. It is veterans friendly. It has a very cozy, homey-feel instead of resort-ish. We looked at both assisted living and independent living. It was nice. They were very connected, but yet they were separate, so it felt like it was in the same community. The apartment was not furnished, but it was nice because there was a kitchenette. It had kind of a little kitchen-dining room area outside of the living space. We were looking at one-bedrooms. It was a nice setup because it had a bigger kitchen area than some of the others. The staff has been very helpful and has followed up. They continue to be very helpful. The food was good. It is closer to home-cooked than restaurant-style, which is nice. They have a couple different outdoor areas. They have an interior courtyard that is more or less attached to the assisted living side. There is a big greenbelt that surrounds the other rooms.

We went to Brookdale Coeur d'Alene. They gave us a tour and were nice, but as it turns out, we just aren't going to need anything. We were thinking about independence at the time of our visit. It was very nice. It was a good experience, and they were nice and helpful. We looked at the 1-bedroom and the 2-bedroom, and they were nice and acceptable. They weren't fancy, or new, but they were clean and nice. The person who gave the tour was really helpful and nice, and he seemed like he took a lot of time to try to help us out. I thought the dining area was nice too. It was spacious and big. We didn't eat there, but as far as the way it looked and the way it was laid out, it looked like it was comfortable. It looked like they had a lot of things that the residents could do. There were projects, games, and things that they could share to keep them busy and occupied.

We toured Brookdale Coeur d'Alene. My mom wanted to look at what they call the villa, those separate little cottages for independent living, duplexes. She liked the fact that they were duplexes and they came with a garage, she didn't like the fact that they would have to walk outside to go to the dining room to eat, and she didn't feel like they had enough storage. The closets were kind of small, but everything else she liked. So those were kind of big deals to her, she wanted storage space. They had a lot of good things.

I toured Brookdale Coeur d'Alene and I thought it was really pleasant. It's a positive place, the people that worked there seemed really happy and they knew their residents really well. I thought it was a really good experience, I don't have any issues with it. I thought the cleanliness was fine, it was just an older building.

We visited Brookdale Coeur d'Alene, and it looked old and beaten down. There's no sparkle to it. The apartments were very nice and well-kept, but it's just overall ambiance of the rest of the building that just seemed old.

My sister ended up at Brookdale Coeur d'Alene, which we liked for the price. The cost was as close as we could get to what we needed it to be, and it is very adequate for that price. She is happy with it. They have an exercise program, recreational things, and music and dancing on Fridays.
