I liked Truewood by Merrill, Boise. The staff were nice. The residents looked happy. The apartments were also nice. Some of them had newer cabinets and appliances and some of them had older ones. Of course, the newer ones were much nicer yet they were the same price. Other than that, they were great. I went into the dining area and saw the food. The lady said they have an Italian cook. I looked at the salads and the sandwiches and some of the entrees, and they looked great. Their dining area was spacious and inviting, too, and the residents were enjoying themselves. They've got a bistro, a happy hour, a hair salon, a library, a game room, and another room where ladies can get together and play games or cook (it's got a kitchen in it). It was very clean. The building was older but it's been redone. So it was still very nice.

Truewood by Merrill, Boise was a beautiful and clean place. The people were very friendly. I saw the dining area and it's like being in a restaurant where you order your food. The apartments were nice and clean, and they had beautiful views out the windows. They had a rose garden and it's huge. They have a lot of nice places in the building with fireplaces. The residents seemed to know each other. They can have small dogs, and there are adorable dogs roaming around and they call the dogs by name. They have a nice movie theater which they do once a week. When I was there, they were doing Halloween stuff. They take the residents to doctor's appointments, shopping trips, or hikes.

Everybody's very friendly at Truewood by Merrill, and the place was real clean. They were just getting opened up after COVID, so a lot of things were just getting going. They have a place where they do movie nights and a library too. The menus are provided, they do fishing, music, billiards, and they allow pets. The people were also very kind, and were really, really nice. They actually gave me some extra information, too, about some other things that I should look into.

We toured Willow Park and I was very pleasantly impressed. We were primarily looking for something like cottages and we thought their cottages were outstanding and the home itself was outstanding. We were able to see the dining room, but we did not participate in any meal. We were looking at cottages and we were shown a 2-bedroom that was furnished for display purposes. It was clean and was ideal for senior citizens. Then we walked to the main building where they have the apartments and stuff for those that needed more care. They were outstanding and the grounds were just fantastic. We thought it was very nice. They have a library and a lot of things going on. It was on a street that is not too busy and close to shopping and churches. They were close to an athletic club that was within half a mile or something like that, which had a pool. So that was what we noticed. They have transportation if they need to go shopping or to your doctor. I think it is an ideal location. They are within a mile and a half of a pretty major shopping area. They have reading time, they have chips available, and you sign up for that. We saw the list for the whole month at that time, all the things that were planned and available. You can do your meals in your cottage if you want to, or you can sign up and have your meals in the main house in the big building. It's like restaurant meals. The staff that we met were two ladies, they hosted us for everything, and they were outstanding. One of them has been there for, I think she said 15 years or something, and the other one's been there seven years. They were both very outgoing and friendly. The one who has been there longer remembered my aunt and uncle very fondly and it was nice. The staff that was serving the meals in the dining room all seemed friendly. They didn't talk to people on a tour, but they talked to the people who live there. They didn't want to serve people on tour because they weren't sure about the Covid thing.

We saw independent and low level assisted living at Willow Park. They didn't have my appointment scheduled, and the person I was supposed to have the tour with was touring with somebody else. A gentleman stepped in, but he wasn't as prepared as the lady who does that all the time. He briefly showed me some things and the prices, which were way higher than any other place in the Valley. They should have the right person to give the tour and make sure that they have their appointments straight. I even have an email confirmation for the appointment from them. It was frustrating for me. It was a very pretty and very clean facility, and the dining room was open, comfortable, and pretty as well.

Willow Park was a very nice and very clean community. They provide lots of activities. They have cottages, which is an important feature. The staff member that showed me around was very informative. I saw the inside of one of the cottages, and it was nice. It was a pretty good size, and it seemed to be in good condition.

I didn't like Willow Park Assisted Living because there were much more females. It's a very large place with lots of people. It does have a facility for those with Alzheimer's but it wasn't that good to me. I have a friend who lives there and I don't think she's getting good care like she should.

I visited Willow Park Assisted Living, and it was very good. The staff was very friendly. It did look a little rundown, but they were renovating some things. They were putting in some new carpeting. We looked at the cottages. They were really nice, 2-bedrooms with a bath and a full kitchen. That's not what we were looking for. They did not have any available at that time, but it was really nice. They have exercise classes, shuttles to take you to your doctors' appointments, they have breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, different crafts things you can do during the week, and they have a TV/movie area you can use.

Willow Park was very nice, and very well-maintained. The cottages were large, including the 2-bedroom units we wanted, but these were outside the main building. We wanted a facility inside a building because of the Idaho weather. The food was very good, they're one of the cheapest facilities, but they seemed to be for older residents, and they didn't have a lot of activities.
