We moved in at Garden Plaza of Valley View the first week of October. We have a nice large room and one very nice bedroom. We brought from home our big queen size bed, dressers, and things. The bathroom is very, very nice and the heating facility is nice. In the living room, we have our leather recliners and we bought a table. We have a wonderful facility. It's a big dining room and they serve three very good meals a day. On Friday evenings, they do have shrimp and fish, and roast beef. It's a variety of food that they have, and they're willing to make you most anything that you want that they have in stock. So they're very, very congenial in that way. They have Pinnacle and Bridge, and they have other games. They have musicians probably once a week. And the facility is very, very clean and very nice. The staff is excellent and very personable. Our room is cleaned thoroughly once a week. The inside of the building is immaculate. Their cost is very comparable to the other ones that we had looked at.

I have made a reservation at Garden Plaza of Valley View for myself. It is a beautiful and clean place. Everybody I met was wonderful and helpful. They have great food and nice apartments. There's a little waterfall in the middle of a big open area with fireplaces and big chairs, and it's a lovely area. The dining area is beautiful. They have a salad bar every lunch and dinner. For meals, they have an hour and a half for the residents to order their food.
They have a library and a lot of activities. The activity coordinator has been there for 30 years, and she's amazing. They have a local artist that puts up his artwork every month and the residents could buy them if they want. The chef prepares hors d'oeuvres and wine during that event. They take people out shopping and to doctor's appointments.
They are in the process of building a retail bakery in the facility where people can come in and buy. It's going to be exciting. The staff is very pleasant and very thorough. It felt like everybody knew everybody, and it just felt right to me. Everything I saw and everything I experienced was very good.

I live in the independent living part of Garden Plaza of Valley View. We have independent living and assisted living here. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and I have enjoyed being here. The community is very nice. This is a beautiful facility and it's kept up well. If there's a problem, you just report it and they take care of it. The food is really good. It seems like we're fed well. It's very well-prepared and tasty. There are many activities here. The ones I've participated in are the painting class and the ceramics class and that's been a lot of fun. I think it's a good value for what I pay. It seems like it's quite expensive, but anywhere I looked was very expensive at my age. I appreciated the walk-in shower. When I was looking at places, I wanted to have a walk-in shower and I wanted to be able to take my queen-size bed and this place could accommodate that. In a lot of the places we looked at, the bedrooms were so small I couldn't have taken my bed.
